Welcome to a new week for This Week on TV! Season finales along with season & series premieres, including The New Adventures of Old Christine, House & Lipstick Jungle. So let’s see what’s going on, shall we? Jump with me to see this week’s schedule!


Sunday is the biggest night in football. It’s the Super Bowl XLII on FOX at 6/5c, between the New England Patriots vs New York Giants.

It’s also the season finale of Life Is Wild on the CW at 8/7c. Art and Danny get injured while trying to introduce a fertile male into the pride; Jo’s actions surprise Katie, who wants Jesse to remain with the family.

Monday is a big night for premieres! Biggest is the season premiere (FINALLY!) of one of the funniest comedies on tv, The New Adventures of Old Christine on CBS at 9:30/8:30c. Barb gives Christine a reason to worry about consummating her relationship with Mr. Harris; Matthew has second thoughts about medical school due to the identity of his first cadaver. Yay, Blair Underwood is back! He’s so hot! lol

Also on tonight is the season premiere of Paradise Hotel on My Network TV at 9/8c. Eleven singles arrive at the hideaway and pick a roommate as they start their quest for the ultimate prize. If you didn’t see the show the first time around, you can read more about it here: Fox Reality

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Welcome to the Captain on CBS at 8:30/7:30c. This comedy is about a wildly eclectic group of people whose lives are intertwined through the place they all call home, a fabled Hollywood apartment building, El Capitan, which they’ve dubbed “The Captain.” It stars Chris Klein (American Pie), Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), Raquel Welch, Valerie Azlynn (Two and a Half Men) and Joanna Garcia (Reba).

It’s also Part 2 of the Mythbusters James Bond special on the Discovery Channel at 9/8c. Great stuff if you are a fan of the movies!

Thursday is the season premiere of Survivor on CBS at 8/7c. It should be a VERY interesting season. Favorites vs Fans. Weeeee!

Tonight is also the series premiere of 3 shows. First up is Last Restaurant Standing on BBC America at 9/8c. I’ve seen a show very similar to this based in Australia and it should pretty good! Couples compete to open & own their own new restaurant. But it isn’t just the same old reality show, so check it out!

Also tonight is the series premiere of Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew on MTV at 10/9c. Mario Lopez will host the exhilarating weekly series, and giving their feedback each week to the dance crews will be judges JC Chasez (N*Sync) and choreographer Shane Sparks (So You Think You Can Dance). With exclusive content on-air, online, on demand and on mobile, viewers will have the opportunity to learn more about the individual dancers in each crew and how to copy some of their intricate moves.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Lipstick Jungle on NBC at 10:01/9:01c. Based on the best-selling novel by Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City), this fun dramedy follows three high-powered friends as they weather the ups and downs of lives lived at the top of their game. It stars Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price, along with Paul Blackthorne (The Dresden Files) as Brooke Shields’ husband.

It’s also the season finale of Flash Gordon on SciFi at 8/7c. It may very well be the series finale, but we’ll see…

    i checked the degrassi’s 7th season a few weeks ago, mostly ’cause the hype of samantha. and actually, i like it;)
