Monday is the series premiere of Rita Rocks on Lifetime at 8:30/7:30c. Nicole Sullivan stars as Rita Clemens, an overworked wife and mother in the middle of a full-blown identity crisis β€” which includes trying to maintain romance with her husband Jay (Richard Ruccolo), juggling the demands of her nine-year-old daughter, Shannon (Kelly Gould), and disciplining her defiant teenage daughter Hallie (Natalie Dreyfuss) and her ever-present boyfriend Kip (Raviv Ullman). After being passed over for a promotion at work, Rita is at her wit’s end. In search of “youthful” Rita, she dusts off her old guitar and forms a garage band with her nosy postal carrier Patty (Tisha Campbell-Martin) and unemployed neighbor Owen (guest star Ian Gomez), in the hopes of putting that spark back in her life.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Real Chance of Love on VH1 at 9/8c. Chance and Real, the self-proclaimed “Stallionaires”, do everything together…. They live together, they produce and perform music together, they travel, date, eat, and even breed Arabian horses together. And on VH1’s “I Love NY” they both fell in love with the same woman. In fact, they made it to the final two and three respectively, and millions of viewers were stunned when New York sent them both home broken-hearted and accepted a wedding proposal from another man. But, for two men with so much in common, they are really quite different. Chance is a player. He charms the ladies with his boyish enthusiasm and speaks his mind no matter who’s listening. Real is the prince. The gentleman with a soft, romantic side he isn’t afraid to show. What they are looking for in a woman is also quite different, although in the end, they may both want the same girl. In this 11-episode series for VH1, the Stallionaires will get their much deserved, and much anticipated chance to find real love. Fifteen young ladies will move into their Stallionaire ranch house (like the Neverland Ranch without all the rides and… um… children) and fight for the brothers’ love. In each episode, the ladies will compete in challenges designed to test for the qualities Chance and Real are looking for in a woman. The winners will go on dates with their man. At the end of each episode, Chance and Real will pick which of the girls each of them would like to continue to date, and send one woman home broken-hearted. In the final episode, Chance and Real will make the most difficult decision of their lives. With two women vying for each of their hearts, they must decide who they would like to take a Real Chance of Love with, and who’s going home alone.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Scream Queens also on VH1 at 10/9c. The show will gather 10 unknown actresses who will vie for an unprecedented prize — a break-out role in Saw VI from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. With the ‘Saw’ franchise nearing 700 million dollars in worldwide revenue, this is a chance at stardom on an infinite stage. The contestants will compete in a series of exacting challenges designed to prove they have the smarts, talent and strength to succeed. From working with bugs, gore and stunts to acting across from A-list talent, the girls will be put through an intense horror-acting boot camp. Over the course of the series, the cast will be schooled and judged by a team of 3. Over the course of the series’ eight one-hour episodes, those skilled and sexy enough to command the screen survive. Those who don’t will “get the axe” until only one strong, seductive and stellar actress remains, earning the break-out role in SAW VI and the title of SCREAM QUEEN.

Tuesday is the season finale of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency on Oxygen at 10/9c.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Mr & Mrs Wolf on Animal Planet at 10/9c. To British wolf expert Shaun Ellis, wolves are not only his work β€” they’re his family. For years, Shaun has been sleeping, eating and living with wolves at the Combe Martin Wildlife Park in Devon, England, successfully infiltrating the pack and becoming its peacemaker. By immersing himself in their social hierarchy, Shaun’s ultimate goal is to promote a greater human understanding of wolves while helping to successfully re-integrate wolf populations around the world. Shaun has surrendered himself to the idea that he’d grow old with only the wolves by his side β€” that is, until Helen Jeffs entered the picture. Helen is Shaun’s girlfriend β€” his “human love.” She completely accepts Shaun’s peculiar lifestyle and the sacrifices he’s made for the wolves. In fact, Helen has as much of a passion for the wolves and Shaun’s mission as she does for Shaun himself. For the past three years, she’s been volunteering with the wolves, but now for the first time, she’ll attempt to be a part of the pack alongside Shaun. In the new Animal Planet series, Helen, with Shaun’s guidance, changes many of her human habits to make living with the wolves possible. She learns to growl, bark and bite her way to authority, holds a strict high-protein/no sugar diet so as not to disturb the wolves’ keen sense of smell, and rids her boudoir of all soaps, fragrances and detergents β€” all to be one with the pack. She even regurgitates cooked liver into the mouths of the wolves in the name of acceptance. But will Helen and Shaun’s combined efforts be enough for them to truly be accepted into the wolf pack?

Finally, it’s the series premiere of The Rookies on A&E at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. In hurricane-ravaged Louisiana, a new class of rookies emerges from the sanctity of the police academy and immediately enters some of the deadliest streets in America. Jefferson Parish, Louisiana is a place where crime is rising fast and with the town in need of protection, Sheriff Harry Lee must call upon The Rookies. As they leave the academy, the rookies begin a 12-week street patrol, riding shotgun with a Field Training Officer (FTO). The FTOs try to teach the rookies how to survive as police officers with a full repertoire of serious lessons they use to challenge the new recruits in order to get them street ready.

  1. Haley says:

I LOOOVE The Ex List too πŸ™‚
Seriously one of the best shows around, along with The Mentalist… I’m so worried it’s gonna get cancelled though πŸ™

By the way, what’s up with Kitchen’s Nightmares ? Is it still on ?

    Thanks !

  2. Haley says:

… and to answer your question, my fave Sunday-night shows are Dexter, Entourage and Desperate Housewives πŸ™‚

  3. Jenny says:

Yeah, I’ve got my fingers crossed tho! πŸ™‚

As for Kitchen Nightmares, next week and the week after are both new episodes. Hope that helps!

  4. Jenny says:

Yay for Dexter! πŸ˜€ I like DH too but it’s far from being my fav. πŸ™‚ Never watched Entourage. Don’t have HBO and never downloaded it.

  5. Nola says:

I watch on Sunday: TAR, DH
I record: Bro & Sis, Entourage, Army Wives, Girls Next Door (until Holly is gone then I’ll quit watching).
Thanks for all your hard work Jenny.

  6. Jenny says:

Thanks Nola! πŸ™‚ Yeah, I love TAR too. But it is like it’s the same thing every season now. Same types of couples, same problems, etc. *shrug* Dunno. heh

  7. Cyndy says:

I have The Ex List DVR’d and I keep meaning to watch it and haven’t yet. But to answer your question: Dexter is by far my favorite Sunday night show. I also like DH and Bros. & Sis. too. I thought I was going to enjoy True Blood more given the books are pretty fun, but it’s kinda meh.

  8. tedder says:

I’m a huge fan of TAR. It’s the same every season, but (a) the scenery is incredible, and (b) it reminds me of some of the traveling that we’ve done!

Not a DH fan, probably because I’m XY πŸ™‚
