TV News – 7/27/09

Hey everyone! How were your weekends? I wish I could say mine was great but between my daughter having an earache and me not getting enough sleep, I’m definitely happy that my weekend is over. lol. On to a new week! True Blood was outrageous last night, what a jump in movement. One minute we’re still slowly setting things up, and the next it’s all hitting the fan at once! I’ll recap that later in the week.

I have a few bits of news today, and then of course a couple of great recaps from Comic- Con. Ready and waiting? Let’s get started!!

Big news of the morning, Ben Silverman is leaving NBC! πŸ˜€ Okay, that makes me ecstatic, I know that NBC has been hurting for a long time but Silverman has done little to help it, bring in the new blood. It’s being reported that Silverman will be “returning to his entrepreneurial roots to from a new venture”. Silverman will be working with media mogul, Barry Diller on a new multimedia project, but will stay at the Peacock network for a short period to help launch the fall schedule. His replacement will be Jeff Gaspin, who is already the head of NBC Universal’s cable and is just adding broadcast TV to his portfolio as well. I don’t think it could get any worse could it? It’s pretty simple, Silverman you didn’t do a good enough job, so don’t let the door hit you on the way out. πŸ™‚ Source

More news after the jump

Again, Ausiello, has made me want his job. lol. He did a great interview from Comic-Con with Sookie, Bill and Eric (Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Alexander Skarsgard respectively) and I loved it. So here it is for you to enjoy, I don’t think there is anything too spoilerish, but if you want to be sure, don’t watch πŸ˜‰ Enjoy πŸ™‚

More Comic Con information, how about a play by play of the Fringe Panel from Zap2It? It was pretty cool, I loved reading it and think you will too. I cannot wait for the second season and think this is one of coolest premises for a show on TV right now. Check it out here

One final bit of news for today, if you love Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica) on True Blood, then you can get an extra dose of her on Law & Order: SVU this fall. We’ll see a different side of Woll, which I’m sure means she’s also not sporting fangs or crying blood, lol, but she’ll appear in the third episode of SVU, and I’m sure it’ll be wonderful. I really enjoy Woll on True Blood, and when the season ends it’ll be nice to see our favorite actors and actresses take a break from the vampire world, and appear on some of our other favorite shows. Great casting choice! Source

That’s it for today, but I hope you enjoy your Monday and don’t forget to check out my weekly review in the, Just My Opinion, category! πŸ™‚
