TV News – 7/29/09

Hump day!!! [Note from Jenny: Well, it was til I took a long time to get this posted! Sorry!] πŸ™‚ Half way to the weekend, and I really wish that it would stop raining here! This summer has been so wet and muggy, I’m getting very tired of it. TV news is running low this week, an after effect of Comic-Con, but I have managed to drudge up a little bit for you, and again I’ll see what Comic-Con interviews I can yoink from Ausiello for you to enjoy. πŸ™‚

Some Three Rivers news for you, Alfre Woodard (Miss Ever’s Boys, Hill Street Blues) will be joining the cast as Dr. Sophia Jordan. She’ll be a very talented surgeon, and the head of surgery for the hospital. I am happy with this casting, I love Alfre, she’s always the perfect mix of strong and funny. I was already excited for this show because of Alex O’Loughlin, but now I’m even more excited because of Alfre Woodard πŸ™‚ Source

More News after the Jump

Both Burn Notice (Jenny’s favorite show!) and Royal Pains have been renewed for 16 more episodes. The shows have been a huge part of helping to move USA to the top in summer ratings and they’ll both be back in 2010. These shows have helped keep Summer TV from getting mundane and for that we are happy. This is great news and a very smart move by USA network. Source

It’s no secret that I adore True Blood, and I have already brought you one interview from Comic-Con of Eric, Sookie and Bill, but Ausiello has done a few more. We’ve got Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), Maryann (Michelle Forbes), Tara (Rutina Wesley), Sam (Sam Trammell) and last but certainly not least, Layfayette (Nelsan Ellis). These interviews are great, no huge spoilers if you’re up to date on the series, so beware if you haven’t seen the latest episode! I cannot wait to see where this season takes us, but where ever it is I’m sure it’s going to be delish! Check out the interviews here πŸ™‚

One last bit of news tonight, Robert Knepper, better known as T-Bag on Prison Break, has been promoted to a series regular on Heroes. He’s going to be the leader of a travelling carnival of people with powers, and during the promo for season four I couldn’t stop watching or listening to him. He was brilliant! Check out the article and the clip here with E!Online. Enjoy!

That’s it for tonight, check back tomorrow when I review the wonderful episode of SYTYCD, but let me just say that the top 6 were on fire tonight!
