TV News – 11/13/09

TGIF! 😀 I cannot believe that Christmas is only about 6 weeks away from today, I need to get some shopping done. When do you start your holiday shopping? More importantly the New Moon premiere is only one week away!!! 😀 I’m so excited, what about you? Okay, let’s get to some news.

Loving this guest starring news! Alyssa Milano (Charmed, Who’s the Boss?) is going to be appearing on Castle as a former flame of Castle himself. Seems that Castle will pick Milano’s character, Kyra’s wedding day to reconnect causing all sorts of trouble between everyone. Sounds great! I really enjoy this show and any addition of TV favorites like Milano is a brilliant idea. Source

More after the jump.

It would appear that the era of remakes is far from over, especially for ABC. The alphabet network is in works to order a pilot for a modern version of the 1970’s classic, Charlie’s Angels. The pilot is being spearheaded by Josh Friedman, who just adapted Terminator for TV as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Friedman will be writing and executive producing the new series. Drew Barrymore who starred in the film versions and Leonard Goldberg who helped Aaron Spelling launch the original are both going to be involved in some capacity. I’m okay with this news as some remakes are doing well, like 90210 or V, and I enjoyed the movies, so I’ll give ABC the benefit of the doubt and say If you make it I will give it a fair shot! What about you? Source

FOX is working on a new game show called, Our Little Genius where real life child geniuses are allowed a chance to test their knowledge in our to win money for their family. The children will be given multiple questions in their “area of expertise”, and allowed to keep answering questions for as long as the parents want to keep risking the money. Sounds like another reality game show but at least it sounds like the money goes to a good cause, the families. I’m not sold yet, we’ll see who they pick as a host, but I will at least give it a shot. For a larger description of the show check it out here.

That’s all for tonight, but I’ll be back later this weekend with more news. Have a great weekend!
