Mondays are always busy, but lately I feel like I don’t have a moment of rest 😀 It must be the season! Let’s get to some news while I can still keep my eyes half open.
Some controversy is brewing over on Big Love, for Matt Ross’ character Alby. The series is giving him his first boyfriend! His boyfriend, “Dale (Benjamin Koldyke), is appointed head of the UEB-a trustee. They stumble into a relationship, and this guy is [just like Alby] struggling with his urges. He’s been going to [reparative therapy] for several years… unsuccessfully. Alby is going as well.” This sounds like a juicy story line and the more blurring of the lines the better! Love HBO! Source
More after the jump.
The adorable Elisha Cuthbert (24) is joining the cast of The Forgotten for a recurring role in February. The Forgotten has been bringing in low ratings and I’m sure ABC and producers are hoping that the beautiful Cuthbert can help solve that. “Cuthbert will play Maxine Denver, a strong and successful Chicago professional who is forced to put her scepticism of ‘amateur detectives’ aside when The Forgotten Network begins investigating a case close to home.” Sounds intriguing, so will you watch? I reported last week that Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes) was going to be starring in the new NBC dramedy, Rex is Not Your Lawyer however he’s been replaced by Jerry O’Connell (Do Not Disturb, Crossing Jordan). I’m loving this! O’Connell has been a favorite of mine since his early days in films like Stand By Me, so I’m happy whenever he’s on TV, but let’s hope this role lasts longer than his stint on Do Not Disturb. 😉 Source
Diane Sawyer will no longer be co-anchor on Good Morning America come next week. It’s not bad though, she’s taking over for Charles Gibson (World News), as of December 21st. Rumour has it that George Stephanopoulos has been offered her job at Good Morning America but nothing official has been released. I can see Diane Sawyer on the World News, and George is no stranger to the news shows, so time will tell how it all goes. Source
ABC Family has given us some casting news for some of it’s new pilot Pretty Little Liars and it’s pretty good. We have Lucy Hale (Privileged) as Aria, Troian Bellisario (NCIS) as Spencer, Ashley Benson (Eastwick) as Hanna and Shay Mitchell as Emily. More exciting is the casting of Alexis Denisof (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as one of the parents. The drama follows four former best friends as they reunited three years after one of their best friends goes missing. The show seems to have a slight I Know What you Did Last Summer-esque feeling when the girls all start receiving notes from a mystery “A” who knows all their secrets. Sounds likes it could be interesting. For more details on this show and casting for other pilots head over to The Futon Critic
Finally for tonight, I’m going to link you up to a juicy spoiler chat with Kristin at E!Online. There are some details on shows such as Glee, One Tree Hill and the new hit comedy Modern Family. It’s worth a read unless you don’t want to be spoiled, but if you do enjoy a good spoiler or two, go here!
Okay that’s it for now, I’m going to try and have my review from last week up tomorrow, it’s just been a little hectic. Have a good night!
