Wednesday already, this week is flying by! Let’s take a look at what the TV world has to offer up in the form of news shall we?
Mischa Barton (The Beautiful Life, The OC) is going to be playing a hooker on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU What cracked me up about this was that executive producer Neal Baer thought that casting Mischa in this role would surprise viewers. I’m not surprised are you? 😀 [Note from Jenny: *snort*] “Mischa’s character is hiding a secret that will prove complicating for Benson (Mariska Hargitay)” I wonder what that secret will be, any thoughts? Overall, I’m less than shocked and figure that Mischa will probably do an okay job pulling off a hooker, if she shows up to work that is. 😉 Source
More after the jump.
Carrie Underwood is going to be crossing over into the world of acting, with her debut being on How I Met Your Mother in March. Underwood will play Tiffany and she’s going to be attracting the attention of Ted (Josh Radnor), although I’m sure it’s just a love interest to distract us from Rachel Bilson who really seems to be the one writers are gearing up to make Ted’s future wife. (aka the mother of the title 😀 ) . Bilson will be guest starring in the 100th episode which airs next Monday January 11th. I’m excited about both of these guest appearances and wish Underwood all the best as she ventures out into the world of acting. Source
ABC is showing the love to Cougar Town and ordering two more episodes of the hit comedy, making it a total of 24 episodes for it’s first season. The network had already ordered more episodes of Modern Family and The Middle earlier this season. All three comedies have proven successful for ABC and I enjoy all three of them. Congrats to Courteney Cox and the rest of the cast. Source
More Law & Order: SVU casting news for you. Lee Tergesen (Oz) will reunite with former Oz lover Chris Meloni (aka Stabler) for at least one episode. Tergesen will be “playing a deranged religious zealot suspected of murder.”. Who doesn’t love this casting? I think it’s a great choice and I’m sure the chemistry Tergensen and Meloni shared on Oz will make for interesting moments on the show. Source
That’s all for now folks! Catch an all new episode of Modern Family tonight at 9 pm on ABC, and you can also watch The People’s Choice Awards on CBS starting at 9 pm as well. Have a great night.
