TV News – 01/29/09

It’s Friday and I am running late again, but you’ll forgive me I’m sure 😉 Let’s jump right into the news.

John Barrowman

John Barrowman (Torchwood) is joining the cast of Desperate Housewives for at least five episodes later this season. He’ll be playing the bad guy that is behind Angie’s (Drea de Matteo) past. I’m loving this casting, but I have to ask is it just me or does Barrowman really resemble Scott Wolfe (V, Party of Five). Source

More after the jump

Tony Hale (Chuck) and Matt Letscher (Eli Stone) have both signed on to the new ABC pilot, Awkward Situations for Men. The pilot stars Danny Wallace (Yes Man) “as a version of himself who moves to America and experiences a culture shock.” Sounds like it may be worth a watch, after all ABC has really been hitting it out of the park with comedies lately. NBC has renewed Parks and Recreation for a third season, which is early news for them. Usually the news wouldn’t come for at least another 3 or 4 months. This is an improvement over the end of last season where they weren’t sure if it’d even get a second season. Who’s happy? Source

That’s all I have for you today, but don’t miss an all new episode of Ghost Whisperer tonight at 8 pm on CBS. [Note from Jenny: Sorry, I put this up late, but I hope you didn’t miss Ghost Whisperer!]
