I would like to take this moment to tell you a little story about a friend I have that just might love TV as much, if not more. than I do. Well, Lost in particular. When asked why she named her son, ‘Sawyer’, she is quick to tell anyone, that it is after her TV crush, Sawyer (Josh Holloway), off of Lost. She even carries his picture in her wallet. I have to admit that I found this story amusing, but it also made me feel better about myself, because although I am ADDICTED to television, I have not purposely named my daughter after a character on a show. She knows who she is and I told her I was going to chat about it, because it was too good to resist. I love it, and I’d love to see your stories of fan devotion in the comment section, although I’m sure that none go as far as naming your son… or do they? 😀 On another note let’s get to some TV news.
Alex O’Loughlin is officially going to be on Hawaii Five-O the remake. I am torn with this news, because on one hand I am happy to have him back on TV again but on the other hand I think that this is a bad choice. Really? A remake of an old show is a waste of his excellent talent, but I really hope that it’s a successful show and we get to see more of O’Loughlin on TV. Source
More after the jump.
The beautiful, Marsha Thomason (Las Vegas, Lost), has been upped to a series regular on White Collar starting in season 2. Thomason plays “FBI agent Diana Lancing”, who appeared in the pilot and hasn’t been around since. She’ll return in the finale and then full-time in season 2. I think she’ll be a great addition to show for season 2 and I’m looking forward to it. Source
Ausiello is giving us some really good spoilers, especially on shows such as Lost, Glee and Nurse Jackie. However, as always do not click the link if you don’t like to be spoiled, everyone else go ahead and click it, but beware SPOILERS ahead.
Kate Winslet, is heading over to HBO for the miniseries, Mildred Pierce. Winslet will play a “Depression-era housewife who separates from her husband to try to provide for her two daughters.”. I’m so excited for this miniseries because not only is Winslet uber talented, this topic is bound to be fabulous. I’ll let you know when it’s going to air, and I guarantee you’ll want to watch.
