TV News – 2/22/10

It’s been a great day, busy but enjoyable. I interviewed, Kris Allen (winner of season 8 American Idol) today, and it was mostly discussion about his recent trip to Haiti and his appearance on Thursday night results show. Look for the interview to be posted soon. Let’s get to some news.

The First Lady Michelle Obama, has asked the cast of Glee to perform at the White House Easter Egg Roll in April. Ausiello reports that The First Lady and the children are all fans of the show, which in my opinion means they have excellent taste. 😀 Of Course the cast will be going, because it’d be rude to turn down the request to The White House, it’s quite and honour. More after the jump

Leven Rambin (Sarah Connor Chronicles, Grey’s Anatomy) has just been added to the cast of the new ABC summer show, Scoundrels. Rambin will be playing the daughter who is said to be a wanna be model who makes a rock look intelligent. The series has been picked up for 8 episodes, also stars Neal McDonough (Desperate Housewives) as the dad. Source

Some odd casting news for you. Jim Belushi (According to Jim) has been cast in one of the leading roles on CBS’ new drama pilot, Defenders. The drama follows “two charismatic and fiery Las Vegas defense attorneys who go to the mat for their clients.” I don’t know about this, I don’t really see Belushi as the lawyer type … do you? I do wonder if the show gets picked up if we’ll see any cross overs between CSI and Defenders because Carol Mendelsohn is a link between both shows and their both on CBS as well as set in Las Vegas. Hmm.. Maybe. Source

FX has ordered a second season of the animated comedy, Archer. The second season will have 13 episodes and debut in 2011. I haven’t really watched the show but I have heard great things about it, so if you want to catch the last few new episodes of season one tune into FX March 4th. Source

So if you are interested in some juicy details on these shows and more clink the link… if you don’t want to be spoiled then DO NOT click the link. 😀 Warning SPOILERS AHEAD!

That’s it for now, I’ll be back later with some interviews and more news. Catch all new episodes of Make It or Break It at 9 pm on ABC Family and a new episode of Life UneXpected at 9 pm on The CW. Happy Monday!
