TV News – 4/9/10

Okay so did everyone fall to pieces over the Bones 100th episode last night? I did when I watched it. I’ll be recapping and reviewing it in my weekly review column this weekend. I’m sorry the news is behind today, but I was busy getting ready for my family trip. That’s right people, I’m leaving you. πŸ˜‰ Actually I’ll only be absent for a few days for the drive there and a few days on the way back. I’m going to work while I’m visiting my family back East. So you won’t miss me too much, but don’t think that should stop you from confessing how long those few days are going to feel without yours truly. πŸ˜€ Let’s talk news shall we?

Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember) will be guest starring on Grey’s Anatomy’s season finale. According to EW and TVguide.com,“She’ll play a patient named Mary as part of an explosive-and, of course, top secret- cliff hanger.“. There are few details being leaked as is usually the case with Grey’s finales, but we do know that the fabulous Bailey (Chandra Wilson), will be playing Mary’s doctor. I’m completely overjoyed with this news, because I love Mandy Moore, really. One of my favorite movies is A Walk to Remember, and she was hilarious in Saved!. We also found out that Ryan Devlin (Veronica Mars,Cougar Town), has been cast to play Moore’s husband. That’s all I have. When (and by when I mean if) I find out more details about her appearance, I promise you will all be the first to know. πŸ™‚ Source

More after the jump

There is some news surrounding Gossip Girl and the storyline of Jenny (Taylor Momsen). It seems Jenny will be missing in the first bit of the next season, but all the insiders are saying is that it’s something with her character. Don’t worry she’s not off the show, at least as we know yet, but I’ll let you know when I know. Thoughts? Source

If you head over to SciFiWire you can watch the first 14 minutes of ABC’s new drama Happy Town, the only catch is if you live in Canada like I do, you can’t πŸ™‚ You hear me ABC, this TV journalist would like to see it too! Enjoy it if you can watch it!

Lizzy Caplan (Party Down) has been cast as the leading lady in CBS pilot True Love. Caplan will replace Ashley A. Morris, as Connie, and joins the talents of Jason Biggs, Minka Kelly and Tyler Labine looking for love in New York. I’m actually kind of excited for this comedy even though it sucks that Tyler Labine’s other show Sons of Tucson wasn’t a huge hit. Labine and Biggs in the same comedy could be dare I say it… EPIC! πŸ˜‰ Source

Finally for tonight, I’m going to link you over to Ausiello for his reassuring post on Bones and the future of Booth/Brennan. Don’t read if you haven’t watched the 100th episode, well unless you like spoilers then be my guest. I have been a fan of Bones since the beginning, and I really hope that some of the things in this little chat with producers Stephen Nathan and Hart Hanson are true! Check it out here

That’s all for today but I hope you caught all new episodes of Ghost Whisperer on CBS at 8 pm, Stargate Universe on Syfy at 9 pm and Miami Medical on CBS at 10 pm. Happy Weekend everyone and remember only 4 more sleeps until Glee spring premiere!
