Happy Monday everyone! It was a busy weekend, and it’s going to be a crazy week. So let’s get some news out and then I’ll work hard to get some reviews done too 🙂
Conan O’Brien is going to TBS, and no that is not a typo! O’Brien will be doing a late night show Monday to Thursday at 11 pm starting in November. George Lopez approached the star asking him if he would consider it, because he felt that he’d be a great lead-in for Lopez’s show. TBS execs believe that Conan will give people more reason to watch their network, and although this is true there are so many other places Conan could have gone. I don’t know what I think about it really, only that I’m sure O’Brien will make us laugh no matter what network he’s on. Source
More after the jump
I’m so sad to say that Dixie Carter has passed away at the age of 70. Carter who played Julia Sugarbaker on Designing Women was a fabulous actress, and even got an Emmy nomination for her guest starring role on Desperate Housewives as Orson’s mom. Carter passed away from complications by endometrial cancer, and she’ll be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time. Source
Grey Damon (Greek, 90210) has been added to the cast of Friday Night Lights for it’s 5th season. Damon will play “Hastings Ruckle, a sexy, laid back basketball player who ends up joining the Lions as a wide receiver.” FNL is adding a few new faces for season 5 because regulars such as Zach Gilford, and Taylor Kithsch aren’t returning for the next season. We are looking forward to seeing how he does on the show, although I’m sure he’s going to be fine especially with his super sexy appearance, the girls are going to swoon.
Alright that’s all I have for you at this moment, but check back later for reviews, and more news. Don’t miss the season finale of Life UnExpected tonight at 8 pm on The CW. There is also a new episode of 10 Things I Hate About You at 8 pm on ABC Family, so choose wisely, or DVR them both :D.
