TV News – 4/14/10

Megan’s gone on vacation with her family, so I’m doing the news for the rest of the week. I apologize in advance. *grin* Let’s get to it, cause lazy me put away the computer last night without getting today’s TV schedule ready. Oops. Will post that next!

Sophia Bush (Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill) has been cast in ABC’s pilot Southern Discomfort. She joins Mary Steenburgen and Don Johnson, who will play her parents. Bush’s character, Haley, will move back in with her dad after having left home years before. Before all you One Tree Hill fans freak out, apparently this deal is only valid if her current show is not renewed for next season. For more info on that, as well as a promo for the new episodes of One Tree Hill (back on April 19th), check out Zap2It

More news after the jump!

Jared Harris, who plays Lane Pryce, has been promoted to a series regular on Mad Men. For more info, check out Ausiello @ EW.

Sarah Chalke is a busy woman! Not only has she already been cast in a starring role in the ABC sitcom pilot Freshman, she’s now joining Team Spitz, a comedy pilot on CBS. For more info on how she is in both, check out Ausiello @ EW.

FOX is juggling its summer schedule around, moving Hell’s Kitchen, Masterchef & So You Think You Can Dance? to new nights. If you are fan of any of these shows, or want to check out the rest of the FOX summer schedule, check out The Futon Critic.

After only 1 episode, HBO has already picked up their freshman drama, Treme, for a 2nd season. Treme is set in New Orleans, post-Hurrican Katrina. Check out the news for more info at Zap2It.

Finally, if you are excited for next week’s new episode of Glee, check out Sue Sylvester’s rendition of Madonna’s hit song Vogue. It also features several other Glee Club members. I’m not a huge fan of the video, but only cause I am not a huge Madonna fan. lol
