Happy Thursday! Bones Day! Woohoo! Our favorite FBI Agent and Forensic Anthropologist attend a high school reunion on tonight’s episode. It’s the first episode after Booth’s big gamble and Brennan’s decision to rip his heart out. *laugh* Anyway, I can’t wait. 😀 Not a lot of news today, but several interesting tidbits, so let’s get to it!
The comedy pilot from CBS and Josh Schwartz, Hitched, has recast the female lead. Kristin Kreuk was originally supposed to play the newlywed wife to Jack Carpenter’s husband, but the role has now been given to Sara Fletcher. No real word as to why, other than the pilot “Ultimately proved not a good fit for her.” More info about the show and recast here: Zap2It
More news after the jump!
HBO has renewed Real Time with Bill Maher for an 8th season. For more info on the show’s return (in 4 days!), check out: The Hollywood Reporter
FOX announced changes to their lineup the other day, but I wanted to make sure you got a chance to see the full, updated summer schedule.
Lie to Me and the new show, The Good Guys, will air Mondays, beginning June 7th. You can catch a series preview of The Good Guys on May 19th before American Idol, though.
Hell’s Kitchen‘s season premeire is Tuesday, June 1st, before the next to last episode of Glee. The next week, June 8th, is Glee‘s season finale. Boo.
Masterchef premieres Tuesday, July 27th. For more info, including dates for So You Think You Can Dance, Past Life & Sons of Tucson, check out The Futon Critic.
More scheduling news… MyNetworkTV has released it’s Fall 2010 schedule, and I’m so excited about it! Not for me, but for those of you who either don’t have cable or haven’t watched my favorite show before. Monday is a night of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then on Tuesday, it’s two episodes each of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? & Don’t Forget the Lyrics!. On Wednesday, it’s two hours of Burn Notice, which ties with Alias for my favorite TV show EVER (coincidence that they are both spy shows? lol). Then on Thursday, it’s two hours of Without a Trace, and Friday is two hours of Monk. For more info on each show and MyNetworkTV itself, check out: The Futon Critic
Speaking of So You Think You Can Dance, some names of the season 7 auditionees have been leaked. Billy Bell (season 6 top 20), Brandon Bumlao (also season 6) & Alex Wong (season 5) are all in attendance, and according to Korbi, all looking very promising. For more info on who those three are (trust me, if you are a fan of the show, you will probably at least remember Billy & Alex!), check out: Zap2It
In development news…
Carla Gugino and Addison Timlin will both be recurring on Californication on Showtime in the upcoming fourth season. More info on their characters and arcs at the link.
CMT has a new reality competition series from Phil Gurin (The Singing Bee), called Get Up and Dance, in which amateur dancers, as individuals, couples or groups, perform their own rendition of famouse dance scenes. So like a cross between The Singing Bee and So You Think You Can Dance… Weird.
AMC has a new drama pilot called The Killing, starring Michelle Forbes, Brent Sexton, Eric Ladin, Jamie Anne Allman and Joel Kinnaman. It actually sounds very interesting. I’ve never watched anything on AMC before, but I do think I’ll have to check it out! You can get more info on this show, including the plot and characters, as well as info on the other two, at: The Futon Critic
That’s all for today! Check out tonight’s TV, with new episodes of many shows, including some of my favorites, Bones & Fringe on FOX, Survivor & CSI on CBS & The Vampire Diaries & Supernatural on the CW!
