TV News – 4/20/10

It’s Tuesday and I am so late with the news 🙂 Sorry! I’ve been running around all day trying to visit everyone, but I’m here now and I’ll get you some news.

I am ecstatic to announce that NBC has made a smart decision and renewed Parenthood! 😀 This show is fabulous, and needs to be given a bit more time to really find it’s bearings. I believe that it’s going to be a hit, so tune in people! Parenthood is a great drama and I urge you all to give it a chance if you haven’t already. I’m also just happy to have Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) back on our televisions weekly. Source

More after the jump .

Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) has been made an offer to take the lead role in Terra Nova over at FOX, being produced by Steven Spielberg and Peter Chernin. The show will “center on a futuristic family that travels back to a time when dinosaurs roamed free.” I loved Chadler on FNL and am excited to see him excel in other projects, after all Who doesn’t love dinosaurs? David Sutcliffe (Gilmore Girls) is going to be guest starring on Drop Dead Diva. He’s going to be playing a naughty husband, who is married to two women, who don’t know about each other. Shame on you David! 😉 The wives will be played by beauties Vivica A. Fox (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Bellamy Young (Scrubs) which makes the episode even better. I love Drop Dead Diva and am looking forward to the show’s second season premiere June 6th on Lifetime. Source

Scott Foley (Felicity, The Unit) will be guest starring in the new CBS pilot, Open Books, while also being a regular on the ABC pilot True Blue. What a busy boy. Foley will be play “a writer who once had a fling with the leading lady June Gage (Laura Benanti).” The whole comedy focuses on June who is a book editor in New York. I really enjoy Scott Foley so I’m happy to have the chance to see him in not one, but two new shows. For more on this casting and other casting news head over to The Futon Critic.

That’s all for tonight, I hope you all enjoyed Glee tonight in all it’s Madonna glory. Stay tuned for my recaps of both Glee and American Idol. I’ll be back tomorrow with more news and I promise to do my best to have it in sooner than I did today. 😀 Goodnight and may your dreams be filled with Glee-ful thoughts.
