TV News – 4/29/10

Happy Thursday everyone! How did you feel about Happy Town last night? I was torn because on one hand it was just creepy enough to amuse and on the other hand the show itself under whelmed. I’ll review it in detail later this week. Now onto some news.

It’s a sad day. ABC Family has cancelled 10 Things I Hate About You after it’s ratings have been dropping in the second half of it’s first season. The news was confirmed via executive producer Carter Covington’s twitter (@CarterCovington), “Sad news…ABCFamily canceled the show 🙁 Thanks 2 our AMAZING fans- U R the reason I do this! Enjoy the last 5 eps- they’re fantastic!”I’m really sad about this news because I really enjoy the show, while it would be great for them to change their minds (PLEASE ABC FAMILY!!) I don’t think they will. I would like to thank Carter and the cast for making such an amusing show,I’ve enjoyed watching it immensely. The opportunity to interview some of the cast was also a highlight in my life. Good luck with all your future endeavours!

More after the jump

Ausiello is spoiling us this week with some great details on some of our favorite shows, such as Glee, Grey’s Anatomy and Brothers & Sisters. If you don’t like spoilers, and don’t want to know then don’t click the link. Everyone else, click away but Beware SPOILERS AHEAD!

TLC has ordered another season of LA Ink bringing the total to 4 seasons so far. LA Ink follows Kat Von D in her life as a tattoo artist at her shop, High Voltage. The third season has it’s finale at 10 pm tonight on TLC, as is filled with drama. I actually just started watching the show recently, and I have to say, these people make a lot of us seem normal, which is in effect a good tool to forget about our daily issues. If you’re interested catch it on TLC at 10 pm, Tuesdays. For more on this and other news on shows being picked up head over to The Futon Critic

MTV’s newest scripted show, is kind of a high school version of HBO’s Hung. The new series, The Hard Times of RJ Berger is about a 15 year old boy that goes from being an unnoticed sophomore to a not so shy guy after he accidentally exposes his above average sized body part to the entire school. The show premieres on June 6th and I can’t say that it won’t be a success, because in today’s society shows about sex , sell. It’s sad but true.Source

That’s all for today, don’t miss all new episodes of Bones at 8 pm on FOX and an all new Grey’s Anatomy at 9 pm on ABC. Also due to the fact that I am still exhausted from the road trip, and behind on life things, I’m going to include my Glee review with a weekly review column this weekend. Have a great night.
