There’s a reason why people think Mondays suck, because frankly they usually do. It’s the day of the week reserved for crapping on people, I swear it must be written somewhere. To make you feel better about this possibility I’m going to bring you some news, not all of it happy news, but TV news none the less. Let’s get started.
Mary Lynn Rajskub (24) has been cast to guest star on Royal Pains as “Newberg’s stepdaughter”. At the moment it looks like only one episode but who knows if they’ll be more. Look for Mary in the June 10th episode, I know I will be.

Ausiello is reporting that FOX is having to choose to renew either Lie to Me or Human Target for next season, but due to their low ratings it won’t renew both. I’m actually rooting for Human Target because while it’s not a perfect show, it has been entertaining. Lie to Me reminds me of The Mentalist and House but for liars instead of medical problems. I just feel that out of the two Human Target has more stories left to tell. What’s your take?

NBC has confirmed it’s picking up Chase, the new drama from Jerry Bruckheimer. The show focuses on U.S. marshals that are on the hunt for fugitives and boasts a decent cast including hottie, Jesse Metcalf (Desperate Housewives). The series looks promising, however given it’s on NBC and yet another crime drama I’m not sure it’ll succeed. That aside I’m looking forward to it, because of the premise and of course because of Metcalf. What about you, are you going to watch? Source
So You Think You Can Dance is really mixing it up for us in season 7, not only with the all-star dancer aspect but at the judging panel. The full time judging panel will consist of Nigel Lythgoe, Adam Shankman and Mia Michaels, with past season full time judge Mary Murphy being down graded to an occasional guest judge and choreographer. I’m actually super stoked about this news. I love Adam Shankman, and think that he’ll make a great full time judge. Mia is always honest and Nigel is just Nigel. The famous Mary Murphy scream was getting old for me, but once in a while won’t be bad. Do you like this idea or are you going to miss Mary? Source
TLC is announcing it’s summer schedule and we’re going to see a couple new shows and all our favorites return. Among the new shows is Kate plus 8, which premieres June 6th and will follow Kate and the kids on their new adventures, sans John I’m sure. 😉 For more on this show and the schedule for the rest head over to The Futon Critic.
Okay that’s all for now, check back tonight for my interview with Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Good Guys) to be posted. Don’t miss all new episodes of 10 Things I Hate About You at 8 pm on ABC Family (one of the last ones, as the show has sadly been cancelled), and CSI:Miami on CBS at 10 pm. Enjoy.
I’m willing on Lie To Me, mainly because I’ve missed it while it was off air and while I have enjoyed Human Target I’m not missing it.
