TV News – 5/28/10

TGIF! Seriously. What a week it’s been. Did you enjoy So You Think You Can Dance last night? I was moved to tears a couple times, but I’ll talk about my favorites in another post. For now let’s talk news.

Gregory Itzin (24), will be doing a multi-episode guest appearance on the new USA network series, Covert Affairs. Itzin will be play “Henry Wilcox, the former Director of Clandestine Services and father of Sendhil Ramamurthy’s character, Jai.”. The show will also be adding Eriq La Salle (ER, 24) as a guest star as well. La Salle will play a former spy who doesn’t want to be wooed back into service. I was already excited about this show, but now I’m really excited. I love both Itzin and La Salle and think they’ll make a great addition to any show that they join. Source

More after the jump.

It’s very sad news to announce the passing of Gary Coleman. He was a huge part of legendary TV, and we send our condolences to all of his loved ones. He will always be remembered for his days on Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes and so here’s a clip to commemorate.

I’m slightly torn by this next news, J. J. Abrams is in REALLY early talks with ABC about doing a reboot of Alias Oh it’s so hard! Part of me says “Bring it on, I miss the show.” While the other part of me worries whether or not they’ll do the show justice. It was such a fabulous show that I worry it’ll be ruined with a remake. If done right I’ll watch, but if it sucks I’ll boycott it. What’s your take on the whole thing?Source

That’s all for now, I hope you all enjoy your weekend and I’ll be around posting opinions and a few interviews. Sleep well.
