TV News – 6/29/10

It feels like a Wednesday.. I know it’s Tuesday but I feel like a skipped a day. (No, I’m not crazy… well much anyways. 😉 ) Back to reality, and the TV news.

I see the shark circling when as I write this news. Brothers & Sisters is cutting the cast down again, this time it’s Emily VanCamp who plays Rebecca. While they aren’t cutting her character all together they are reducing her role and she’ll no longer appear in every episode, though the exact number of episodes she’ll be in is still up in the air. I’m actually quite upset about this news, I love B & S when it first started, and the cast felt complete after VanCamp joined the ranks, now it’s all falling apart. *sigh* Jump the shark? Who knows but perhaps Emily VanCamp could guest star on the new ABC show Rookie Blue instead. What could be better than a little Everwood reunion with Gregory Smith? Let’s hear your thoughts. Source

More after the jump.

Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings), has signed onto star in the new FX comedy, Wilfred. The show follows a dog named Wilfred, a guy (Wood) and a girl. The comedy is a remake of a Australian show, and I’m so excited. 😀 I love Elijah Wood, have for years. The series will start filming later this summer, but in the meantime you can catch Wood in a new movie, The Romantics which also stars Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel, and Anna Paquin. Yay! Source

Supernatural fans are going to be happy to learn that, Mitch Pileggi (The X-Files), is returning as the boys’ grandfather. He’ll be around for multiple episodes and he’s going to be helping the boys with their past. He’s from their mom’s side of the family, and that’s a family full of hunters, so he’s more than likely going to help the boys learn about their roots. I’m really stoked about this casting, what do you think? Source

Pretty Little Liars has already been given an additional 12 episode order for the first season, for a total of 22 episodes in season one. The show is already bringing in large amounts of viewers for ABC Family and it’s only going up. Congrats to the show and it’s cast.Source

That’s all for tonight but don’t miss Hell’s Kitchen tonight at 8 pm on FOX. Also check out our other recommendations of what to watch tonight here.. Happy viewing.

I’m upset about the Brothers & Sisters news too. I can’t believe they’d do this to Emily VanCamp. She’s such a great addition to the show and with Rob Lowe already gone, this show really needed to keep as many regular characters as possible. Definitely time for this show to end.
