TV News – 7/16/10

Good morning for those of you who are not in the Pacific time zone. 🙂 This is the first shot I’ve had to get to a computer today. I had an interview this morning, then after that I’ve been running last minute errands to get ready for Comic-Con.

Jorja Fox has renewed her contract on CSI to return for season 11, but we’re not sure yet if it’s as a guest star or a full time regular. She’s the last one to sign a contract with the show, and let’s face it, the show’s not as good without her. I’ve always enjoyed Fox’s character, Sara, I just wish they’d bring back Grissom (William Peterson) as well. 🙂 Source

More after the jump.

Clifton Collins (Star Trek), has been added to the cast of The Event. He’ll be playing Thomas, and he’ll play a big part in the mystery at the centre of the show. This will be the first recurring role he’s taken in a bit. I’m not sure what to think of any casting news for this show yet but I do know that’s it’s supposed to be a hit. Source

Joy Bryant and Tyree Brown, who play the girlfriend and son of Dax Shepard’s character on Parenthood have been promoted to series regulars. This means that the family drama revolving around Crosby (Dax Shepard) will continue into the fall and possibly further. I’m happy with this news because anything that gives the hilarious Shepard more opportunity for screen time is good with meThat’s all for tonight, I’ll be back later this weekend with interviews and other things.
