If We Controlled Your Remote… 7/27/10

We’re back to our regularly scheduled programming seeing as Megan has returned from Comic Con! Let’s get straight to the suggestions for tonight’s television viewing, because we know you haven’t been able to make up your minds without our opinion. 😉 (Come on you know we’re right! *Grin*)

Megan’s Choice

Hello everyone! First I am so happy to be home to watch TV, I’m missed it. (Oh, I missed my family too. 😉 ) Tonight I’m going to go with Warehouse 13 at 9/8c on Syfy. Not only is this show fabulous and entertaining, but the cast is amazing and I love them.

At the Warehouse 13 panel at Comic-Con, the cast was open, honest and just plain amusing. Eddie McClinktock ran through the crowd before the panel started acting silly, and he was incredibly hilarious during the question & answer part. This cast deserves your love and your loyalty.

Jump ahead for more on Megan’s choice and to see Jenny’s suggestion as well.

If you’ve never watched the show, then let me explain a bit about it. There is a mysterious warehouse filled with all kinds of artifacts from history (even Jimmy Hendrix’s guitar), that have a supernatural link to them. The agents (Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly) have to stop those artifacts from falling in the wrong hands, or destroying the world. It’s a sci-fi dramedy that keeps you entertained from start to finish.

Watch as the agents try to save the world one artifact at a time! Tune in to Syfy at 9/8c and witness the genius that is Warehouse 13.

Jenny’s Choice

USA’s newest show, Covert Affairs, has been absolutely fantastic so far. It’s kind of a cross between Alias and a few other shows, but definitely has its own things that make it stand out from the crowd. If you haven’t seen the show, it’s about a young woman named Annie Walker (Piper Perabo), who begins to train to join the CIA. She gets called up early from The Farm (training facility, much like Basic Training in the Army), for a case, and sticks around. Her handler is Auggie Anderson (Christoper Gorham), who was an active agent but was blinded in the line of duty. I love love love him, and he does such a fantastic job at this character that most of the time, you forget he’s blind. Not in a way that makes it look like he’s actually SEEING as the character, but that’s it just that smooth and flawless. It’s fantastic.

On tonight’s episode, Annie gets close to a college student so his sister will provide the CIA with information on a dirty Venezuelan government official, but when the agent investigating the politician goes missing, Annie must finish the job herself. Check it out tonight on USA at 9/8c!
