The first of the fall shows on network TV start tonight! This is also the night we start to wish we had a third person helping out with these posts, because there are too many shows we want to recommend! Because of that, I will pick one show, Megan will make her pick, and then together, we chose a third show we both think you should be watching. What can we say? It’s HARD to choose just one when you can’t miss so many shows in one night! To see the shows we’ve chosen, read on!
Out of the three premieres tonight (2 of which are new series), I am most excited about Terriers on FX at 10/9c. Terriers centers on Hank Dolworth (Donal Logue, Life, The Knights of Prosperity, Grounded for Life), an ex-cop who partners with his best friend, Britt Pollack (Michael Raymond-James, True Blood), to launch an unlicensed private investigation business. The duo, both struggling with maturity issues, solve crimes while avoiding danger and responsibility. Co-stars include Laura Allen (Dirt) as Katie, Britt’s girlfriend; Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break) as Detective Mark Gustafson, former colleague of Hank; and Jamie Denbo (Weeds) as Maggie Lefferts, Hank’s attorney.

On tonight’s episode, while working as unlicensed private investigators, a disgraced former cop and his immature best friend try to track down their friend’s missing daughter, whose boss hires them to investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
I have to admit that I’ll be watching Hellcats tonight, and I really think you should be too. It’s a new show brought to us by The CW, about cheerleading, college and life in general. You’ll see some familiar faces such as Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), Aly Michalka (Phil of the Future), Robbie Jones (One Tree Hill) and Matt Barr (One Tree Hill). That’s not to mention it’s executive produced by Smallville star Tom Welling.
Tonight’s pilot helps bring us into the world. We follow Marti Perkins(Aly Michalka) as she learns of her lost scholarship, and then realizes that she could earn a new scholarship by being on the college cheerleading team. With her background of gymnastics she flips her way onto the team and the drama starts from there. I’m not sure if it’s going to be a huge hit yet, but I will say that the cast is solid and I will be watching.
Give it a shot and if nothing else enjoy a night of new TV. Tune in tonight at 9/8c on The CW network, and then let me know what you think.
We have to be true to our old favorites even though we’re entering into a season with possibilites for new favorites. That’s why we are both telling you to watch the summer finale of Psych tonight at 10/9c on USA network.
Megan was on set for the filming of this episode and she says it’s not to be missed. There are great guest stars, explosions and of course lots of humour. 🙂 It’s a Bourne Identity based episode with guest stars like Franke Potente and C. Thomas Howell (Criminal Minds). We’re not going to tell you anymore except to miss it would be a crime!
Tune in to USA Network tonight at 10/9c and watch the fantastic fun of Psych unfold.
