I don’t know about you, but I’m so excited the new season is starting! There are a TON of shows on tonight. In fact, our recommendations are the premieres of 3 of brand new shows, so let’s get to it!

One of the most anticipated new shows of the new season is Hawaii Five-0 on CBS at 10/9c. This is the contemporary take on the classic series about a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands’ sun-drenched beaches. It stars Alex O’Loughlin (Three Rivers, Moonlight) as Detective Steve McGarrett, Scott Caan (Entourage) as Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (yes, as in the line: Book ’em Danno!), Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) as Chin Ho Kelly, and Grace Park (Battlestar Galactica, The Cleaner) as Chin’s cousin, Kono. The reviews so far have been great, and any show starring Alex O is worth watching. 😉

While there are a few favorites returning (ie. House and Castle), I’m going to suggest you watch the fabulous new show on NBC, The Event.
I had the priviledge of seeing the pilot already, and let me tell you, it is edge of your seat excitement the whole way through. I was capitvated by the intrigue and mystery, not to mention the stellar cast. Jason Ritter (Joan of Arcadia) is fabulous as Sean Walker, the sweet boy next door who unwittingly starts to unravel one of the greatest government conspiracies of all time. Blair Underwood is daper and strong as President Elias Martinez, and don’t forget one of my favorite stars from ER, Laura Innes. She plays Sophia Maguire, the leader of a group that is locked in a government holding facility for reasons we’re yet to know. Included in the cast is the loveable Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls) and the adorable Sarah Roemer (Disturbia).
In the pilot, you’re going to get introduced to a couple story lines, all of which are deliciously twisted with conspiracy and adventure. The show reminded me of what would have happened if you put the mystery of Lost together with the conspiracy and adventure of 24. I wasn’t expecting to love it but I do. The writers and executive producers are promising a great ride, but that they will also try to wrap up a bit of the story line each week, so that we’re not left with every mystery they introduce until the very last episode. 🙂
Everyone asks, “What is The Event?”, well tonight at 9/8c you can tune into NBC and watch the conspiracies unfold!

Lone Star makes its debut tonight and right off the bat, it’s going to suck you in by the premise alone! Robert/Bob Allen is a schemer who is very charming and charismatic. He’s living two lives in two different parts of Texas while juggling two identities and two women who live in very different worlds.
Bob lives in Houston where he is married to Cat (Adrianne Palicki), who is the daughter of Clint Thatcher (Jon Voight), and Jon is the head of a mega wealthy Texas oil family. There, Bob tries to cement his place in the Thatcher family in order to clean them out. Four hundred miles away in west Texas town Midland Bob lives his life as Robert who has a girlfriend named Lindsay Holloway (Eloise Mumford). He plays the gentlemen and doting boyfriend while there all the while secretly bilking local investors out of their hard earned savings. Beginning to fear that his secret lives may be unraveling, and he tries to stay afloat keeping his two lives separate and walking a thin line between each one.
Saddle up and tune in to Lone Star at 9/8C on FOX.
