If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/21/10

Wasn’t it a great night of premieres last night? Did you all love Hawaii Five-0? Let’s look at what we think you should be watching tonight!

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that I’m suggesting you watch the season premiere of Glee tonight at 8/7c pm on FOX! I am a huge Gleek and so proud of it.

While I was lucky enough to already see this premiere, that gives me even more weight behind me when I say DON’T miss it. Charice will be guesting on tonight’s episode and her voice is so amazing that it has Rachel (Lea Michele) becoming vicious to keep her top diva spot. We get to see some great Finn/Rachel moments, not to mention the new hottie Chord Overstreet as the new football player Sam Evans, who really heats up the screen.

The music is fabulous tonight, and while it’s not an epic episode, it’s full of everything we love about Glee including sarcasm, singing and just a generally fantastic hour of television. Tune in at 8 pm on FOX and fall in love with the series all over again!

Check out Jenny’s and Lisa’s recommendations after the jump.

Prepare to run wild! Running Wilde is a show about an uber rich, very immature playboy named Steve Wilde (Will Arnett) who tries very excessively to win (or buy) the heart of his childhood sweetie Emmy Kadubic (Keri Russell). She’s a super liberal, do-gooding humanitarian who is Steve’s direct opposite. The two are given the chance at reconnecting and Steve decides to pull out all of the stops in order to win Emily over.

Jenny has seen the pilot, and she said it’s cute, but a little strange. “Really, who names their child Puddle??” Overall, it’s definitely worth giving it a shot, if for no other reason than Will Arnett & Keri Russell. Check out this brand new show on FOX at 9:30/8:30c.

I chose this little show, Raising Hope, as my recommendation tonight, because I’ve seen the pilot, and I really quite enjoyed it. It’s not a high brow comedy by any means, but if you were a fan of creator/Exec Producer Greg Garcia’s previous comedy, My Name Is Earl, you will probably like this. It has a ways to go before it’s a hit, but it’s very cute, has a lot of heart, humor, and the premise is funny.

Raising Hope is based around a young man named Jimmy Chance, who has a one night stand with a woman, and finds out the next day, she’s a wanted woman. She gets sent to prison, and right before she’s executed, he finds out she had his baby. Rather than relinquish his rights, he decides it’s time for him to grow up and raise the little girl, who he names Hope. Jimmy lives with his mother, father, cousin, and grandmother (Maw Maw, who has Alzheimers and runs around without her shirt half the time! LOL).

Check out the interview I just posted with the actor who plays Jimmy (Lucas Neff), and Greg Garcia, the Executive Producer. Their answers are fantastic! Interview with Lucas Neff and Greg Garcia for Raising Hope. Don’t miss the premeire tonight on FOX at 9/8c.
