If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/26/10

It’s the start of another busy week, and I for one couldn’t be more excited. I had so much fun watching all the premieres last week, and I know this week will be just as good. There’s some great stuff on throughout the week, including what we are going to be recommending you watch tonight, so get your pencil and paper and let’s get to it!

Jenny’s Choice

My choice for you tonight is The Glades on A&E at 10/9c. The season is almost over, which makes me sad, but I know it’ll be back, which thrills me to no end! At the end of last week’s episode, Callie told Jim she is going to file for divorce and wants to really be with him in a relationship. YAY, right? Then I saw the previews for this week, and it showed Jim having dinner with the chicky from the hospital he met a few episodes ago. Bah! He better not screw it up before it really starts! lol

Jump with us to read more about The Glades and to see what Megan and Lisa think you should be watching!

On tonight’s episode, when a beautiful young girl is murdered, Longworth discovers the dead girl was having an affair with a prominent Florida State Senator whose wife will stop at nothing to clear her family’s name and promote her husband’s political career. Don’t miss this all new episode of The Glades on A&E at 10/9c!

Lisa’s Choice

If you’re not a fan of The Simpsons by now, you’re never going to be converted.  But if you’re a long time fan like I am, you’re downright giddy that the season premiere begins tonight!

Glee fans get excited, because tonight’s episode of The Simpsons is entitled “Elementary School Musical” and some of your favorite Gleeks guest star!  Marge sends Lisa to a performing arts camp where counselors and fellow campers (enter Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Amber Riley from Glee) help inspire her to embrace her creative side.  Unfortunately, when Lisa does return to Springfiled  she finds herself restless with her mundane lifestyle.

Sing along and enjoy tonights season premiere of The Simpsons at 8/7c.

Megan’s Choice

What an honour I get to bring up the rear. 😉 There are so many great shows on tonight and it was a really tough choice, but ultimately I had to go with the season premiere of The Amazing Race. Every season a group of 11 teams get together to race around the world, and face all sorts of crazy challenges. It’s humanity at it’s best, and relationships at their worst. Husbands and wives fight but sometimes prove to us how strong their love is. Sibling or Parent teams test their family ties. I always think “I’d love to do that” then I look at my husband and realize I prefer being married. 🙂

I’m such a big fan of the show and I cannot wait for the new season to start. Have you seen the video of the watermelon in the slingshot that flys backwards and hits the girl in the face? It looks painful, and I can’t believe she walked away. Watch tonight at 8:30/7:30c for the 90-minute premiere on CBS and then come back and tell me who your favorite team is, or better yet who you hate the most! 🙂

I’m with you Megan– Sunday is all about Amazing Race for me and my family. There are so many likeable contestants this year that I haven’t picked a favourite team yet. The villain is definitely easy, though– Chad… with Thomas’ condescending attitude in second place.

Loved the storming the castle bit– just hilarious. I felt really bad for Tony and Ron– they could have been good contenders.
