It’s already Wednesday, which means we’re halfway through another week. Time flies, whether you’re having fun or not! This week saw the first of what is almost guaranteed to be several cancellations of new shows. I hadn’t started watching Lone Star yet, and now apparently I won’t need to. If you were enjoying that show, I am very sorry for your loss. 😉 Now, let’s see what hasn’t been cancelled yet that we think you should be watching tonight!
Jenny’s Choice
Speaking of losses, my pick tonight, Criminal Minds, features the loss of JJ. Luckily for the BAU team, it is just for another job, not death or injury! On tonight’s episode, SSA Jennifer “JJ” Jareau attempts to reunite a family in Maryland whose daughter has disappeared mysteriously as she deals with a job offer she cannot ignore. Michael Welch (Twilight and Joan of Arcadia) guest stars, and Isabella Murad is back as Ellie Spicer. (Warning for all the Strauss haters! She’s back this episode, too!)
Most fans will know, JJ’s portrayer, AJ Cook, was fired over the summer. We still don’t know the reasoning behind it, and we probably never will, but I do wish her the very best, and I hope she knows how much fans will miss her on the show! Megan’s Choice
Tonight is the series premiere of the newest installment of the Law & Order franchise, Law & Order: Los Angeles. While I enjoy Law & Order, my biggest interest in this series is the fact that it stars the delectable Skeet Ulrich (Jericho). It also gets to boast having the talented Terrence Howard (Crash, Hustle & Flow) playing the District Attorney.
In the series premiere, the case revolves around the activities of a young group of thieves, who try their hands at assault and murder. The LA team is called in to solve the case. If nothing else, I’ll tune in tonight to NBC at 10/9c to see if this series will be able to grab my attention like Law & Order: SVU does.
Lisa’s Choice
Lisa’s Choice: Cougar Town is back on the prowl and bringing on the funny. This goofy bunch of friends in a small Florida town are the adults you wish you’d turned in to! They love one another and have crazy encounters, but at the end of the day, they have each other’s back. Tonight’s episode has Jules having a lot of issues and trouble coping with the fact that her son Travis is finally heading off for college. Also, Andy comes up with a great scheme in order to deceive Ellie. Watch ABC at 9:30/8:30c for some prime time laughs.
