If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/30/10

How quickly this week is flying by and I’m so happy it’s Thursday because there is so fabulous television on tonight. We hope you enjoy all of your television choices, but as always, we strongly suggest you watch our choices. 😉

Megan’s Choice

Tonight, I think you should be watching Bones, so we can all see Brennan’s reaction to Booth’s new girlfriend Hannah (Katheryn Winnick). I had the chance to take part in an interview with Winnick today, and while she was really sweet, I can’t help but dislike her a little bit, because she’s going to be an obstacle in Booth and Brennan finally get together.

More on Bones and the other ladies’ choices after the jump.

In tonight’s episode the remains of a couple are discovered in a cave at National Park, the team must piece together the identity of the man and the woman as well as solve the crime. Meanwhile, Booth’s girlfriend and Afghanistan war correspondent, Hannah Burley (guest star Winnick), makes a surprise visit. After meeting Burley and sensing the couple’s genuine happiness, Brennan re-evaluates her own relationship with Booth, and he tries to teach her that love is not always logical in the all-new “The Couple in the Cave” episode of Bones tonight at 8/7c on FOX.

Jenny’s Choice

My choice tonight is a show I love that many of you might not have given a chance. Simon Baker as Patrick Jane on The Mentalist is really unlike any other character on TV. He doesn’t pretend to be a psychic (like he did years ago, before working for the CBI), but his instincts are fantastic, and he uses them to his advantage. He doesn’t like to follow the rules; in fact, he RARELY actually DOES follow the rules, which makes him annoying to his superiors, but it’s also what makes him so successful as a consultant to law enforcement. The rest of the cast is great, too. Robin Tunney’s Teresa Lisbon has an undeniable chemistry with Patrick Jane, but the show hasn’t gotten them together at all. Jane is still obsessed with finding his family’s killer, so putting him with Lisbon already wouldn’t make much sense. Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti as Rigsby and Van Pelt are great, too. But Tim Kang’s Kimball Cho never fails to crack me up with his dry wit and deadpan face.

On tonight’s episode, Jane is forced to revisit his shady past after his brother-in-law comes into town and becomes embroiled in a murder investigation. Jane is forced to step in and help him, despite having some personal reservations about his involvement. Jane is still having to deal with the after-effects of last season’s finale, where he was nearly killed by some psycho college students and saved by his family’s murderer, Red John, so we’ll see how that affects him tonight! The new episode airs on CBS at 10/9c.

Lisa’s Choice

Lisa’s Choice: School is back in session! That means more Community in store for us fans of this hilarious ensemble show! Jeff Winger and his merry band of misfit students at Greendale are too funny not to tune in to. On tonight’s episode, Jeff falls into some old habits when he reconnects with a former law firm colleague of his named Alan (guest star Rob Corddry). Abed, Annie, and Troy don’t take quite a dislike to Alan and decide to look for dirt on him. Watch Community tonight 8/7c on NBC.
