It’s the start of a new week, and this week, there’s an extra special treat for you! (No, it’s not an invitation to my son’s 13th birthday party, sorry!) Adam, from TVDoneWright.com is back as our guest poster this week! So everyone give him a welcome, and then join us to see what we think you should watch tonight.
First, I want to thank the good folks at TVisMyPacifier.com for inviting me back here as a guest. If you don’t know me, my name is Adam Wright from TVDoneWright.com. It’s a big night for Showtime, with all season and series premieres. Californication, Episodes and Shameless fill the night on the cable network.
My pick for the night is Episodes. It’s been promoted as the return of a ‘former Friend’ on TV. Yes, it’s true, Matt LeBlanc is back on TV. However, if you expect to tune-in to Episodes for Joey, you will be very disappointed. Instead, you should tune-in for what it is. It’s a dramatic-comedy about a British couple who bring a hit UK show to America. Matt LeBlanc barely appears in the pilot episode.

Sean and Beverly Lincoln are a happily married English couple, who are also the creators of a hit British TV show. Their life seems complete. That is until a hugely powerful and charismatic US network president persuades them to move to LA to recreate their show for American television. Things begin to unravel as soon as Sean and Beverly arrive in LA. It soon becomes clear that the network president has never even seen their show. To make matters worse, he insists that they replace their brilliant lead actor, an erudite Royal Shakespeare veteran, with… Matt Leblanc!
My pick tonight was pretty easy. Tonight is the 2-hour series premiere of The Cape on NBC. Summer Glau, one of my favorites, is back, and I’m thrilled! If you haven’t heard what this show is about, read on…
In tonight’s first episode, when a cop is unjustly framed for crimes he didn’t commit, he is forced to team up with carnival misfits and take on a new identity, fight crime, and win his family back. Fueled by a desire to reunite with his wife Dana (Jennifer Ferrin) and son Trip (Ryan Wynott), former police officer Vince Faraday (David Lyons) becomes “The Cape” — his son’s favorite comic book superhero — and takes the law into his own hands and to battle criminal forces that have overtaken Palm City.
Faraday is joined by Max Malini (Keith David), the ringleader of a circus gang of bank robbers, who mentors Faraday and trains him to become “The Cape,” as well as investigative blogger Orwell (Summer Glau) who wages war on crime and corruption in Palm City. Together, they must battle Ark corporation billionaire Peter Fleming (James Frain) — The Cape’s nemesis — who moonlights as the twisted killer “Chess.” Also starring are Vinnie Jones (as Scales), Martin Klebba (Rollo), Dorian Missick (Marty), Izabella Mike (Raia) and Anil Kumar (Ruvi).
In the 2nd episode tonight, when ARK Corporation threatens to privatize Palm City’s prisons, The Cape must find a way to stop them before things turn deadly. The Cape must battle Chess and his latest accomplice Cain — a/k/a Chef (guest star Raza Jaffrey) — as they try to take down the Patrick Portman (guest star Richard Schiff), the Secretary for the Bureau of Prisons, in an attempt to take over Palm City’s jails. After narrowly escaping death, The Cape must rely on Orwell, Max Malini, and the circus gang to nurse him back to health and then help him save Patrick before it is too late.
The Cape starts tonight on NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Cape @ Clicker.
I don’t know what’s in the water over at the Desperate Housewives writers’ room, but whatever it is, it’s working! This season has been full of great drama and humour, not to mention scandal. I love that Susan has a decent story line and that we have another mystery on our hands.
On tonight’s episode, Susan gets a shock when her mother (Lesley Ann Warren) and aunt (Valerie Harper) visit. Lynette seeks revenge after hearing about Tom’s fling with Renee. Bree tries to become friends with Beth Young, and Gaby turns obsessive over the loss of Grace.

They are the cartoon family that never ceases to make you chuckle every time you think of your favorite quote or character. After countless number of seasons, the beloved family on The Simpsons never fails to always be up to some crazy scheme or activity that is so nonsensical and absurd, you love every single moment of it. There has to be more than one character on the show that you can relate to, laugh at, or just pure adore. The Simpsons is one of the greatest families on television that delivers laugh after laugh on a continual basis. They are also one of the most quoted cartoons in the world. There practically isn’t a bad line on this show. Indulge in this family who knows no boundaries!
Tonight, Marge reconnects with a close group of mothers that she used to be friends with, while Bart tries to break up their group when his playdates stop being such a blast.
