TV News – 1/12/11

Hello my lovelies! I have a few bits of news for you tonight, served with an apology for my lack of regular posts. As you all know I am pregnant with my second child, and due to the high risk nature of my pregnancies, I’ve been up and down health wise. Today is a good day and baby boy is doing well, so I’m taking a few moments to update my favorite people on the world of TV news. I may not be around as often but I still appreciate all of the support you give the site, Jenny and myself. If it wasn’t for you readers, there’d be no place for a TV addict like myself to write about her addiction. πŸ˜€

FOX has ordered a second season of the new hit comedy, Raising Hope, as announced at the TCAs today by Kevin Reilly (President of FOX company). This news comes as no big surprise because Raising Hope, has been a hit from the start with viewers and critics alike. In the meantime, season one will return will all new episodes on Tuesday, February 8th at 9/8 c on FOX. So are you happy with this renewal?

More after the jump.

Mary Murphy is coming back to So You Think You Can Dance as a resident judge, for the next season. As annoying as her yelling can be I honestly missed her a bit, didn’t you? “I’m thrilled and already dancing in my seat to be back as a permanent judge this season, which I’m sure will be the best ever,” said Murphy about her return. The new season kicks off auditions on February 2nd in Salt Lake City, UT. I’m excited about a new season, no matter how many seasons I still find it amusing, don’t you?

The premiere date for the new FOX drama, Terra Nova, were announced at the TCAs today. The new family adventure/drama will show a special two-night event on Monday, May 23rd and Tuesday, May 24 both nights at 10/9 c on FOX. The new family drama, follows a regular family as the embark on a journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as a small part of a daring experiment to save the human race. The series was created by Steven Spielberg, and will officially premiere in the Fall. I think this may be a great new way for families to come together in front of the television with a little something for everyone in the family. I’ll be watching will you?

There is a whole lot of shaking going on over at Law & Order: Los Angeles (aka LOLA from now on πŸ™‚ ). First they cut Regina Hall (who plays ADA Evelyn Price) and Megan Boone (DDA Lauren Stanton), and then they cut Skeet Ulrich who plays Detective Rex Winters, one of the main officers on the show. It’s being called a “creative revamp” and fans are being reminded that Dick Wolf also “tweaked” the other shows in the franchise in their first seasons. I don’t know how I feel about this, as I actually do like Ulrich, but I’m not a huge fan of the series itself. Maybe a revamping is just what it needs? (Sorry Jenny πŸ˜‰ ) What are your thoughts?
