It’s crazy. I’m up way late to get this done, because it took so long, so let’s just get to it, shall we?

Tonight is the series premiere of Hogs Gone Wild on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. The series explores the escalating national problem of free-roaming wild hogs. Because their reproduction rate is unbelievably high (in just five years, two hogs can produce 44,000 of their kind), controlling the population of these aggressive and unruly beasts is crucial to mitigate costly damages and physical danger. The current estimate on wild hogs is six million with some of them growing as large as 700 pounds. In the United States millions of dollars of damage is caused per year for business, farm and homeowners. This series examines this detrimental issue by following three of the toughest animal removal companies in the country (located in Texas, Hawaii and Florida) in their attempt to combat these ferocious yet intelligent animals.

Tonight is also the season premiere of Big Love on HBO at 9/8c.

Monday

Monday features 4 series premieres. To read more about each of those, click the link below. Otherwise, check out tonight’s schedule!

Tonight’s first of 4 series premieres is Being Human on Syfy at 9/8c. Leading normal lives is a lot harder than it looks for three paranormal roommates – vampire Aidan (Sam Witwer), ghost Sally (Meaghan Rath) and werewolf Josh (Sam Huntington) – who share their secrets and a Boston brownstone. Together they try their best to be human while navigating the complexities of living double lives. Mark Pellegrino (Lost) co-stars as Bishop, Aidan’s charismatic but menacing vampire mentor.

Tonight’s second series premiere is Harry’s Law on NBC at 10/9c. From Emmy Award-winning writer/producer David E. Kelley (Boston Legal, The Practice, Ally McBeal), this new drama stars Kathy Bates (Misery, About Schmidt) in the title role. Harriet “Harry” Korn doesn’t believe things happen for a reason, but she discovers that they sometimes do. A curmudgeonly ex-patent lawyer, Harry is abruptly fired from her blue chip law firm, forcing her to search for a fresh start. She finds it when her world unexpectedly collides, literally, with Malcolm Davies (Aml Ameen), a kind-hearted college student who desperately needs Harry’s help with his pending court case, and he subsequently goes to work for her. Harry soon finds her balance as well as new offices in an abandoned shoe store just as legal hotshot Adam Branch (Nate Corddry, The United States of Tara, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) accidentally hits her while driving. Inspired by Harry’s no-nonsense understanding of the law, Adam decides to take leave of his shiny corporate firm to go and work with her. Harry, Adam and Malcolm – unlikely but kindred spirits – along with the help of Harry’s shoe-savant assistant, Jenna (Brittany Snow, Hairspray, American Dreams), are now ready for whatever walks in through the doors of their unique establishment – Harriet’s Law and Fine Shoes.

Tonight’s third series premiere is Heavy on A&E at 10/9c. Twenty-two individuals facing extreme life-threatening health consequences as a result of their obesity experience real life change. The eleven episode one-hour series follows two participants per episode documenting their incredible transformations during a six month treatment program. Unlike other weight loss series, Heavy is not a competition or stunt, but is rooted in the incredible real life day-to-day journeys of the participants during a lengthy treatment program. In order to most accurately document these multiple weight loss journeys over the course of six months and present them individually in one hour, A&E sought out two different production companies to undertake the lengthy and ambitious filming process. The result is a never-before-seen look at the unique struggles faced by dangerously obese individuals who must learn to live healthier lifestyles and understand the root of their food addictions. Through their day-to-day struggle and the voices of their loved ones, viewers will see first hand the pain and self-doubt associated with a debilitating weight problem.

Finally, tonight’s last series premiere is Skins on MTV at 10/9c. Created by father and son team Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain, the ground-breaking series Skins is about the lives and loves of teenagers and the obligations of friendship. The drama series features an ensemble cast of unknown teenage actors as they navigate complex relationships, the politics of friendship and difficulties of daily life in their formative years. Elsley writes and executive produces the U.S. version, which, like the U.K version, stars and is co-created by young talent. The premiere episode introduces viewers to a tight-knit band of friends played by James Newman (Tony), Rachel Thevenard (Michelle), Daniel Flaherty (Stanley), Ron Mustafaa (Abbud), Sofia Black-D’Elia (Tea), Camille Cresencia-Mills (Daisy), Jesse Carere (Chris), Britne Oldford (Cadie) and Eleanor Zichy (Eura).

Tonight is the series premiere of 3 shows. First up, at 8:30/7:30c, it’s the premiere of Perfect Couples on NBC. Dave (Kyle Bornheimer, Worst Week) and Julia (Christine Woods, Flash Forward) are the “everyday couple,” messed up in all the “normal” ways. Dave struggles to keep both his wife and his needy best friend, Vance (David Walton, NBC’s 100 Questions) happy. Vance and the volatile Amy (Mary Elizabeth Ellis, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are the high-passion, high-drama couple who bring out the best and worst in each other. The third duo features Rex (Hayes MacArthur, She’s Out of My League) and Leigh (Olivia Munn, Attack of the Show, The Daily Show). Rex is a reformed party guy who has channeled his jock energy into a competitive drive to be the ideal mate. Leigh, a self-anointed relationship guru, has formed the perfect union with Rex, and now considers it her duty to mold the other couples in their image.

Tonight’s 2nd series premiere is Masters of Survival on Discovery Channel at 9/8c. I honestly can’t find much about this show ANYWHERE, but it’s basically a bunch of … masters of survival showing you how to survive in crazy, harsh, remote, dangerous places. Ya know, like half of Discovery Channel’s shows already do …

Tonight’s 3rd series premiere is the 75-minute premiere of Fairly Legal on USA at 10/9c. The show centers on Kate Reed (Sarah Shahi, Life), a top litigator frustrated with the endless bureaucracy and daily injustices of the system, who takes a hard left to become the ultimate anti-lawyer: a mediator. Using her knowledge of the law, along with her savvy, intuition and a whatever-it-takes approach to resolving conflict, Kate finds the middle ground for a wide variety of adversaries — from Fortune 500 corporations to bitter divorces. After the sudden death of her father, she finds herself at odds with the new boss, her stepmother Lauren Reed (Virginia Williams)…and in bed with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Justin Patrick (Michael Trucco, Battlestar Galactica, Castle), a top gun in the DA’s office. Helping her keep all of this chaos at bay is her trusted, geek-chic assistant Leonardo (Baron Vaughn).

Tonight is also the season premiere of Parks and Recreation on NBC at 9:30/8:30c.

Finally, tonight is the 75-minute season finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo at 10/9c.
