If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/6/11

Another week, and I’m still baking this baby! While I understand the furthur I make it, the better, I am one impatient and tired momma. 🙂 On a different note, the start of a new week means new episodes of our favorite shows, so let’s take a look at what you should be watching.

I have been enjoying the new season of The Amazing Race a lot so far. It was great how the cowboys came from behind, just when I thought they were going to be eliminated. The Globe Trotters are as hilarious as they were the first time around. If you haven’t given this season a chance yet, you definitely should.

On tonight’s episode, the race continues in Japan, where a car accident involving Jaime and Cara threatens to put them in the back of the pack. One of the challenges requires the racers to get down-and-dirty in frigid mud.

Tune into CBS at 8/7c to see how the teams face the challenges. Learn where to find episodes online of The Amazing Race @ Clicker.

I thought about recommending you watch Mike Tyson racing his pigeons, but… Instead, I decided to go with the series premiere of Breakout Kings on A&E. From the writers/producers of Prison Break, the show follows an unconventional partnership between the U.S. Marshals’ office and a group of convicts as they work to catch fugitives on the run. After 72 hours, the odds of finding an escaped prisoner drop to less than five percent. Knowing that there are few things more dangerous than a convict on the run, and tired of outdated methods of law enforcement, veteran U.S. Marshals Charlie Duchamp (Laz Alonso) and Ray Zancanelli (Domenick Lombardozzi, The Wire, Entourage) decide to reject protocol and take an unorthodox approach to their work: using former fugitives to catch current ones. The series also stars Brooke Nevin, Jimmi Simpson, Malcolm Goodwin, and Serinda Swan. One of my favorite shows is The Glades, and it’s also on A&E, so I’m hoping this one will turn out to be great, too.

On tonight’s premiere, Charlie DuChamp and Ray Zancanelli scour prisons across America to find three of the most skilled felons available to assemble a team that will be offered a chance to shave a month off of their sentence for every prison escapee they capture.

Don’t miss the premiere tonight on A&E at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Breakout Kings @ Clicker.

Sixteen celebrities join together to help various charities in an effort to become the apprentice to Donald Trump in The Celebrity Apprentice. There are most certainly guaranteed meltdowns, verbal smack downs, and quite possibly some fisticuffs! Already, the trailers are promoting fights between Star Jones and NeNe Leaks, as well as Meatloaf and known kook, Gary Busey. It’s going to be just like a car accident… you won’t be able to turn away!

Tonight, the celebrities are divided into two teams and are tasked to run pizzerias. The teams set fundraising records, and eventually, one celebrity contestant is eliminated.

Watch the season premiere at 9/8c on NBC. Learn where to find episodes online of The Celebrity Apprentice @ Clicker.
