If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/22/11

The Easter weekend is here, and I am so excited to have some great family time. My daughter has declared that since her baby brother can’t eat chocolate yet, the Easter Bunny should give her his share. Tricky girl, she is. 😉 Enough chatter about my family. We all wish you a happy holiday weekend, no matter what you celebrate. Now let’s get to some television.

Megan’s (& Jenny’s) Choice

There are only a few good mystical shows left, and Supernatural easily makes that list. There’s something about watching the sexy Winchester brothers battle evil and save the world, time and time again. The chemistry between this cast, the writing, and again, the sexy brothers, bring us back week after week, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. 🙂 (This is my choice, too, and I echo everything Megan said! –Jenny)

On tonight’s episode, while looking for a way to beat Eve, Dean comes upon Samuel Colt’s journal. Realizing Samuel might have the answer to their problems, Sam and Dean ask Castiel to send them back in time to the Wild West to meet the man that wrote the journal. Sam Hennings (Memphis Beat) guest stars.

Lisa’s Choice

Looks like the final season of Friday Night Lights has kicked things off with a very emotional and powerfully charged storyline for many characters. Last week, we sent Julie and Landry off to college, and we saw Becky struggle with her life living with her dad, who is on the road, as she is left behind with her step mom and infant step sister. We saw Billy struggling with letting Tim take the rap for his car fencing business, with Tim in jail and Tami entering a new position at East Dillon as a counselor. We saw the East Dillon Lions get a new player, and Jess try to be a parent to her younger siblings while her dad is working out of town. A lot of changes have come, and life isn’t easy for anyone in Dillon, Texas.

Tonight, not everyone is happy with how the Lions played in the season opening game. Vince discovers that football stardom can come with benefits, while Luke pays for his aggressive play. Meanwhile, Tami tries to start a tutoring program that may or may not go over too well.
