If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/29/11

Let me just say that our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the tornadoes. While in the face of such destruction, television seems so small, the show must go on. Let’s see what you should be watching.

I can’t really put my finger on just one thing about Blue Bloods that makes it worth your time, because there are so many reasons. Whether it’s the sexy, talented cast, or the excellent story lines, you are missing out if you’re not watching. If you’re not watching, be careful… They may send Tom Selleck’s moustache after you. 😉

On tonight’s episode, Danny investigates the murder of a tourist, who was gunned down outside a popular Lower East Side restaurant. Meanwhile, Frank deals with the sensational way reporters are treating the story.

Our favorite demon (& other supernatural) hunters have been battling the Mother of All lately on Supernatural, and tonight is no different. I love this show, because the relationships between the brothers, between them and their father figure, Bobby, and the adorably snarky angel, Castiel, are all fantastic. As scary as their world is, sometimes you can’t help but want to be a part of their team. Plus, almost everyone has their favorite on who they think is sexiest. It changes for me…sometimes, I think it’s Dean, but a lot of times? Castiel is my man. MmMmMm! 😉

On tonight’s episode, Sam, Dean, Bobby, and Castiel track Eve to a small town in Oregon, where they discover that the townspeople have been turned to demons that appear to be dying. Even decides to torture the brothers by bringing back their mother as a demon.

The football season and school year have just begun, but Dillon, Texas, never rests. The team is on two a days and the staff at East Dillon High School can’t get any support or funding. Seems that real life teachers’ worries are hitting the small screen and really hitting home with viewers. There isn’t enough money for new textbooks, and there are many absent parents. It used to be that you sat down nightly with your kids to go over their homework, but now, with the economy, everyone is working so hard to scrape even something small together to stay afloat. As they say, life imitates art.

Tonight, Coach Taylor has great difficulty disciplining his players, and someone from Vince’s past returns. Julie bonds with a member of the faculty, while Buddy gets some truly disturbing news.
