It’s Friday night, and you’ve made it through the work week! The week sure wasn’t easy! Lord knows some of these season, and some series, finales took its toll on us viewers; not to mention a lot of announcements from networks about what shows have been canceled, what shows have been renewed, and what new shows have been picked up. We will be saying goodbye to shows like Human Target and Smallville, but also are saying welcome back to shows like Parenthood and Raising Hope. Whether your favorite show has come to an end, or is gearing up for an all new season, wipe your brow after a week of hard work and enjoy some relaxation.
Lisa’s Choice
Friday Night Lights has captured the hearts of so many viewers that it still amazes me that the show was not continued and the actors were continually overlooked at award shows. This show brought so much depth and power with the acting and the storylines. Thank goodness we have the reairing of these episodes on NBC, as well as the DVDs to relish the show’s lasting impressions. Believe me, with the legacy that this show has left, we viewers are better people from getting to treasure such a sweet and special show.
Tonight, Coach Taylor has a talk with Vince and his father all about recruitment regulations. Four of the Lions’ players make a life-long pact, and Julie’s relationship becomes even more complicated.

Jenny’s Choice #1
My first of two picks tonight is the season finale of CSI: NY on CBS. It’s been a great season. I especially loved the addition of Sela Ward’s Jo. She has been a great pair with Mac, since Melina Kanakaredes left. Me? I’m hoping to see something romantic between the two of them next season, but I’m not holding my breath. 😉 That is, of course, if Mac is even AROUND next season. The promo sure made it look like he’s considering leaving! The summary doesn’t make me feel any better, either.
On tonight’s season finale, following a near-death experience, Mac becomes determined to close his last remaining unsolved case. Michael Irby (Michael Irby) guest stars.

Megan’s Choice
It’s the series finale of Smallville tonight, and I for one can’t believe that 10 years have gone by already. We have watched Clark Kent grow up from an awkward teenage boy into … well, Superman. 😉 Friday nights will be a little more boring after tonight, but let’s enjoy it while we can.
On tonight’s episode, the story of Clark Kent comes to a head in this huge two-hour finale, as Clark takes the last steps towards his destiny as the Man of Steel. There will be surprise appearances by some early series originals, like Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor.The final episode will bring to an end a 10 year story of the journey to becoming the world’s greatest superhero.

Jenny’s Choice #2
There isn’t a lot on tonight, but another season finale I’ve been REALLY looking forward to is Blue Bloods on CBS. From the very first episode, Jamie has been searching for answers about his brother’s death. He was approached by an agent of the FBI at the beginning of the series and was told that Joe (his brother) was helping the FBI investigate the Blue Templar, and when the group found out, they killed him for it. The Blue Templar is believed to be a secret organization of police officers, carrying out their own brand of justice on cases where they believe the courts and the law failed. Jamie finally came clean last week to brother Danny, when his own life was threatened and his gun was stolen. This week? Daddy Reagan knows and is incredibly pissed off.
On the tonight’s season finale, when a drug bust points to dirty cops, Frank decides not to involve Internal Affairs in the hopes of taking down and exposing the Blue Templar.
