Tonight’s a great night for TV, because there are some fantastic new episodes. There are way too many for us to choose from—including the fantastic Franklin & Bash on TNT and USA Network’s Necessary Roughness. Trust me, we have a hard time narrowing down what we think you should watch each night if you had to choose only 1 or 2 shows, and for me, Wednesday is the perfect example of how I just simply cannot recommend only one show! So what are our recommendations tonight? Read on to find out!

I know a lot of people would agree with me that tonight’s episode of Royal Pains is one loyal viewers have been looking forward to since news came out a couple of months ago about Hank & Evan’s grandfather. Ed Asner is guest starring tonight, and Henry Winkler is back as their father. What a great cast for tonight’s episode! I hope we get a good number of scenes between the four men, because the snark factor alone should make it worth watching. I have a feeling watching them all together is going to be so much fun! One question I have for fellow viewers… What in the world do you think is going on with Paige?! Is she sick? It’s got to be SOMETHING major, because it’s really throwing her off her game this season. She’s keeping secrets from Evan and forcing Hank to, as well. Eek!
On tonight’s episode, “The Shaw/Hank Redemption,” Hank and Even take a trip to Florida in order to attend Eddie’s parole hearing. Hank begins to have doubts about a new friend of Eddie’s, an ex-convict who is raising eyebrows due to the particularly odd behavior that he exhibits. Jonathan Tucker also guest stars.

Continuing my “other stuff Kyle watches” picks, I’m recommending Jon Benjamin Has a Van for tonight. Actor Jon Benjamin is probably best known for his voice work on shows like Home Movies, Archer and Bob’s Burgers, so it is strange to see an actual person attached to the voice. This series is a parody of investigative news shows, following Jon Benjamin and his crew in their news van. The humor in the series comes from both the interactions between Jon and his crew, as well as the “news” stories they cover—which are always unique, far from politically correct, and usually end up with Jon becoming part of the story himself! I probably never would have checked this out if I hadn’t been a fan of Archer and Bob’s Burgers, but I’m glad I did, as the show is quite amusing.
In tonight’s episode, “Van Scheme,” Jon concocts a scheme to get out of work, but his lies spiral out of control, ultimately capturing the nation’s headlines. He also introduces his new service ‘Jon Benjamin’s 911’, and makes an appearance on ‘Celebrity Parkour’ with Andy Richter.
Catch it tonight on Comedy Central at 10:30/9:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of Jon Benjamin Has a Van @ Clicker.

My second pick tonight is Melissa & Joey on ABC Family. I’ve loved this show from the very first episode, but I think I’ve been enjoying it even more since the new episodes started airing this summer. I don’t know why that is, really. Maybe because they are giving us hints that Mel & Joe have feelings for one another that even they don’t quite realize yet. Or maybe the cast has just had time to gel more. I don’t know, but I like it!
On tonight’s episode, in “Joe Versus the Reunion,” after debating whether or not to show his face after the tumultuous year he’s had, Joe ultimately decides to go to his 10-year college reunion. On the same evening, per the Mayor’s request, Mel goes out to dinner with an artist to discuss bringing his installations to Toledo. But when she gets a call from a depressed Joe at his reunion, she rushes over there to surprise him by posing as his girlfriend and save the day—only to realize that in the meantime, Joe has found and reconnected with an old flame. Lennox and Ryder decide to throw a party with Mel and Joe out for the evening, but it does not go as planned.
Check it out tonight (& see if Mel’s jealous streak will come through!) on ABC Family at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Melissa & Joey @ Clicker.
We are down to the Top 10 dancers on So You Think You Can Dance, and I’m looking forward to see them dance with the All-Stars, as well. I’m looking forward to seeing Twitch, Comfort, and Allison again. Who are you looking forward to seeing the most? As far as the contestants go, I’m really loving Melanie and Marko, and I’m upset they’ll be split up this week.
On tonight’s episode, the Top 10 dancers are joined by the So You Think You Can Dance All-Stars, who are all experts in various styles of dance, and the new pairs take to the stage, hoping to impress the judges and the audience with their chemistry and brand new choreographed routines. Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) is this week’s guest judge.
Tune in to FOX tonight at 8/7c and watch the Top 10 perform, and don’t forget to vote for your favorites. Learn where to find episodes online of So You Think You Can Dance @ Clicker.

My final pick tonight should come as no surprise. I’m such a huge fan of the new original comedies on TV Land, it’s not even funny. What IS funny, though, are both Hot in Cleveland and Happily Divorced, which air back to back tonight, making my Wednesdays brighter. The ladies of Hot in Cleveland never fail to make me laugh, with their quirky personalities, snarky comments, and obvious affection for one another. As for Happily Divorced, the show is funny and kind of sad, all at the same time. It’s sad because it’s based on Fran Drescher’s real life. Her husband suddenly announced one day that he was gay. I can’t even imagine what she must have felt like. And now, to put all that into this cute little new comedy, working with said ex…? It’s just more than I could have done, that’s for sure!
On tonight’s episode of Hot in Cleveland, “Dancing Queens,” the ladies want to dance the pounds away in the Cleveland night scene (uh… woohoo? lol), but they must first find non-threatening men to take them out. Elka has a violent confrontation with an old rival, and she uncovers secrets about her past. Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond) & Antonio Sabato Jr. (The Bold and The Beautiful) guest star.
Tonight on Happily Divorced, “I Wanna Be Alone,” Fran wins a cruise for two, but she upsets Peter and Judi by choosing not to invite them; instead, she embarks on the trip alone, where she finds that being alone isn’t all its cracked up to be. Fran’s mother, Dori, wants to participate in a local community show in an effort to become a star.
The boys are back! Rescue Me gave fans one serious season opener last week, and fans are loving the burn from it. Colleen is engaged, and she’s back on the drinking bandwagon. Janet has decided to keep the baby, but she wants Tommy to be a real dad, and not be so out of control and absent. Sheila has an obsession with thinking that Damian is going to get up and walk and talk again. Nothing like an episode full of drama, suspense, and a lot of crazy to get the final season of this white hot show off to a phenomenal start.
Tonight, the crew goes stir crazy waiting for a job, while Lou fakes his physical. A news team memorializes Jimmy, and Tommy is saved by an unfamiliar face.
