With Thursday, you’re on the cusp of the weekend, but you’re not quite there and off the hook yet so that the partying can begin. Relax a little before the big weekend events begin, and check out some must see TV tonight, with shows that can ease the tension of the day and get you primed and ready for your weekend adventures. – Lisa

One of the hottest shows on TV is heating up your Thursday nights in a major way. Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht make an amazing team on the new USA Network show Suits! This dynamic duo has definitely given viewers much to chatter about! The chemistry that the two exude seems effortless, and the show packs a great one, two punch of drama and comedy. If you’re looking for a way to revitalize your Thursday nights, Suits is the cure!

Tonight, an old friend needs Mike’s help, and Harvey must decide between money and helping out his trusted driver.

I’m a fickle TV viewer…Last week, I didn’t recommend Rookie Blue, because I’ve not been really happy with the way the relationships (well, ok, the Sam/Andy/Luke/Jo uh, double triangle? square? whatever…) have been going. This week, though, I’m quite excited about. For one, our “rookies” go undercover with a few of the detectives, while Luke holes up with Jo in a hotel for surveillance. They finally hash out their old relationship, and I’m HOPING this is going to be a turnabout in the aforementioned set of relationships. At some point, Andy HAS to find out that Luke gave her the engagment ring he bought when he asked Jo to marry him, right? And once she learns that, she’ll realize he hadn’t actually planned to propose. Maybe something will happen during surveillance, although I don’t really want him to CHEAT on her, because she has such fragile trust issues as it is already… Anyway, I’m excited that this week seems like it’ll be good both case-wise and “shipper” wise, so that’s why Rookie Blue is my #1 pick this week.

On tonight’s episode, “Stung,” a sting operation at a local car dealership leads to a potential deal for insider information that places Dov and Chris in danger. Jo convinces Luke to help her on a high-stakes surveillance job, and they finally have it out over their shared past.

Ending this week’s string of other shows I enjoy, tonight I’m recommending another show I’ve been watching regularly since its premiere a few weeks ago: Extreme Chef. In each episode, three chefs compete to create the best meal under extreme circumstances. The chefs are taken out of the kitchen, given unconventional cooking tools, and usually have to go through some physical ordeal just to obtain their ingredients. And that’s just the beginning, as curveballs are thrown at them throughout the competition, such as a last-minute additional course or drenching the chefs with “rain” while they try to complete their meals.

In tonight’s episode, “Ice House,” the chefs cook in a ice cold house, where 300-pound blocks of ice contain their ingredients.

Rookie Blue has been really strong this season, and I’m enjoying every minute of it. Well, every minute except for the suspense of who will Andy end up with. I think they’re setting it up for Luke to go back to his ex, and then Andy will be with Sam… or at least, one can hope. I’m team Swarek all the way! The storyline with Chris and Gail is really good, as well, and I’m definitely liking Gail’s character more this season.

On tonight’s episode, Dov and Chris get a tip on a meth house that puts them in harm’s way. Meanwhile, Jo talks Luke into helping her on a surveillance job, which brings up old issues between them.

Tune in to ABC at 10/9c to see if the old flame between Jo and Luke still burns, leaving our girl Andy free to get together with Sam. 🙂 Learn where to find episodes online of Rookie Blue @ Clicker.

Last week on Burn Notice, Michael’s … partner, I guess he was, was killed and Michael himself found his body. It also seems like Michael was set up to be the fall guy for the murder. Uh oh, it looks to me like the people that burned him are still alive and well and not happy about him being back at the agency or continuing to look into his burn notice! This season has been fantastic so far, and I am hoping tonight’s new episode is no exception.

Tonight, in “Square One,” Michael becomes involved in a murder investigation being conducted by the CIA. The team is tasked with helping a former Army sniper who is intent on punishing the people who are responsible for causing harm to his sister.

Check it out tonight on USA Network at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Burn Notice @ Clicker.

Tonight—or for those people on the east coast, more accurately, really early tomorrow morning—is the series premiere of NTSF:SD:SUV on Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network. National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle (yes, that’s a long title—good thing they use acronyms!) is a spoof of the police procedural, and it looks like it will be a lot of fun! While the Adult Swim shows are only 15 minutes long and air in the wee hours of the night/morning, they somehow manage to pack in more laughs than traditional sitcoms. I am a huge fan of Adult Swim’s hilarious hospital drama parody, Childrens Hospital, and this new series should be a great companion to finish out the half-hour Thursdays at midnight.

I could not find any official synopsis for tonight’s premiere—perhaps it is just that indescribable! 🙂 Here’s a blurb about the show itself, though. A covert undercover team of elite government operatives must work together in an effort to protect San Diego from multiple terrorist threats, which occur on a daily basis from extremely evil countries, such as Mexico, Canada, and Guam.
