Are you in, or are you out? Project Runway is back, and so are the contestants, who are literally working on every project while on pins and needles. Drama and design never looked so good! Tonight’s guest judge is Stacey Bendet from Alice + Olivia, and she doesn’t disappoint. Neither do the designs!

Tonight, the designers will work in teams of two in order to create looks larger than life from materials that they find in a pet shop. Their creations will be worn by stilt walkers in the very first ever outdoor runway catwalk.

I was so excited last week when Andy learned the truth about Luke and Jo, and then broke up with Luke. I’m not sure she knows the ring was originally Jo’s, but from her comment when she left him about putting the ring back where she’d found it (with the emphasis on found), I think she might have guessed. Anyway, it was a great episode, and Missy P (Andy) played it beautifully. I could feel her heartbreak when she left the hotel room, and even though it was what I’d wanted, I still felt bad for her. Things are going to get tense this week in part because of the break up and all of that, so I can’t wait!

Tonight, Andy is worried that her personal problems are clouding her professional judgment when a woman is brutally attacked on her watch. Luke is convinced that it’s the same suspect when the details of assault are alarmingly similar to the unsolved murder of a rookie. Ironically, Andy is caught in between dueling theories of the crimes – one supported by Luke, the other by Jo Rosati. But when Luke is booted from the investigation because of erratic behavior, he tries to get Andy to follow through on his hunch – putting her in serious danger.

I was thrilled to hear the news that USA Network is close to renewing Suits for a second season. Out of the batch of new USA shows this summer, this has been my favorite. While it seems like this show would be a better pairing with White Collar, rather than with Burn Notice, I will be watching whatever night it’s on. USA likes to tout its “Character’s Welcome” tagline, and that really fits this show. The characters and relationships on the show are great, and I like that they are only slowly revealing new information about the characters’ back-stories each week. My favorite character has to be Mike Ross. He’s like Shawn Spencer meets Neal Caffrey, always using his intelligence, wit, and charm to get himself out of trouble—I wish I was more like these cool guys on the USA shows! 🙂

In tonight’s episode, “Play the Man,” Mike faces off against Devon in a mock trial, and Harvey’s history creates complications.

It wasn’t really until I was re-writing my “About Me” section for the site recently that I realized I can include Rookie Blue at the top of my favorites list. That may be surprising to some, but I can’t help but love everything about it. The police drama, the relationships, the actors—just everything.

I’m not sure I’m liking where this whole Dov and Gail relationship is going, but only because I can’t imagine anyone wanting to hurt Chris. He’s so adorable. Something I am liking is the fact that Andy and Luke broke up! Now, let’s get Andy together with Sam quickly, shall we? Please! 🙂

On tonight’s episode, a woman is brutally attacked on Andy’s watch, which shakes her confidence. Luke and Jo have conflicting theories of the crime, which leaves Andy in the middle and in danger.

Last season on Burn Notice, it was all about helping Jesse after Michael got him burned, and finally finishing off the guys that had burned Michael. They *thought* they had gotten all the guys that had burned him, but now… it doesn’t seem likely, does it? Michael had a feeling they hadn’t, so he was continuing to look into it, and that’s when Max was killed. The killer cleverly set Michael up to take the fall for it, including having a lookalike go into the shop and buy the burner phone that made a call near the place of Max’s murder. Meanwhile, Michael is still involved with the CIA, and this time, the woman that was sent to solve Max’s murder is Michael’s new … handler, partner, whatever. She is still looking at Michael hard for the murder, but I think maybe she’s realizing he’s a good guy and a good spy. So we’ll see how that plays out!

Tonight, Michael and Sam undertake a mission to rescue an ailing boy after his father absconds with him to a heavily armed compound. Fiona and Jesse attempt to stick close to a day laborer who may have a significant connection to Max’s fate.

I didn’t like how, out of nowhere, they turned Luke into a cheater and a d-bag this season of Rookie Blue. He was much nicer last season, and I preferred Luandy (or is it Anduke?) over Samdy (which is probably what we’ll get now). The whole Luke/Andy relationship seemed to move way too fast in season 1 and that’s probably why they were forced to make such a sudden character change now as there was nowhere else to go with it.

  2. Jenny says:

heh According to everything I’ve read, it was always supposed to be Sam & Andy. but they have to get Andy in the right headspace for it or something. She first started dating Luke because he was a good guy, a “safe” choice. Sam is much more… well, he’s an undercover cop, (was… I mean), and he’ll always be more rough around the edges than Luke, who looks on the outside to be stable, “nice,” cultured, whatever you want to call it. So Andy was with Luke–at least in the beginning–because of that stability. Luke, on the other hand, was with Andy because she was safe. She was younger, not as career oriented yet as Jo, who had broken his heart, etc. But he never truly got over Jo. He wanted to make things work with Andy for the same reason she wanted to be with him–because it was the safe choice.

That’s what I get from reading interviews with the cast, anyway. 😀 And it’s SaNdy, not SaMdy. 😛 haha

  3. Megan says:

See I always thought Luke had a secret. He was too good, and women know that when a guy is that good. It’s usually too good to be true. 😉 Sorry to the men, but it’s true. I suppose the same can be said about women too though, because if a woman seems perfect in everything she probably isn’t. lol. 🙂
I am all for Sam/Andy, and I really don’t like Luke.
