If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/13/11

It’s the start of a new week. I’m not sure I’m ready for my weekend to be over, but luckily, we have one more night to relax before starting work for the week. Comment below and let us know what you plan to watch tonight? Did we pick your favorite show? Did we miss something you think we should cover? Tell us!

One of the best new shows of the season in my opinion is the new Once Upon a Time, on NBC. My whole family has really enjoyed it so far. Of course, I’m wondering how long it will be until someone actually REALLY starts believing Henry. Obviously the Queen/mayor knows everything. My husband & I are in disagreement about whether or not Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold remembers. I think he does. Scott doesn’t. I think maybe tonight’s episode will prove not only does Mr. Gold know everything, but maybe Emma will actually start to believe it for real, as well. We’ll see! All I know is last week’s episode was heartbreaking—at the end, I mean—when Emme showed up at her mother/Mary Margaret’s house so she wasn’t alone. Just so sad!

On tonight’s episode, “The Price of Gold,” Emma tries to help a young pregnant woman escape from the clutches of Mr. Gold. Meanwhile, back in the fairytale world that was, Cinderella makes a regrettable deal with Rumplestiltskin. Guest starring tonight is Jessy Schram (Falling Skies) as Ashley/Cinderella.

Don’t miss it tonight on ABC at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Once Upon a Time @ Clicker.

What could make your Sunday more complete than watching teams race around the world on The Amazing Race? Nothing. Last week’s episode proved that the professional snowboarders, Andy & Tommy, are very physically fit. I loved the faces on Ernie & Cindy when the boarders ran past them to take first place. Guess Ernie & Cindy should have worked out more before the race. It’s taken a bit, but the teams I would like to see win would either be Andy & Tommy or Zac & Laurence. Both teams are hard working, kind, and obviously in it to win it.

On tonight’s episode, “Super Shady,” the Race travels to Copenhagen for the first time, where one Racer learns the meaning of two left feet, and a double U-turn jeopardizes team positions in the Race.

I was so sad last week when Robert Irvine went home on The Next Iron Chef. I would have loved to have seen him stay longer, if for no other reason than the rivalry between him and Anne Burrell. I think he was kind of robbed last week, actually, because I think he had a pretty strong dish at the ballpark—certainly stronger than some of the other contestants—and to get sent home because his hummus was slightly too thick for one of the three judges? Wrong, Michael Symon. Wrong! Sure, Chiarello made his own pasta, but Anne Burrell & others do that all the time on Ircon Chef America. He was VERY unhappy the secret ingredient was peanuts, and he was determined to only use it as little as he had to. Eh, whatever. lol I still don’t know who I really want to win, although Anne Burrell is one of my faves, so…

On tonight’s episode, “Let’s All Go to the Lobby,” the remaining chef competitors are instructed by the Chairman to prepare two dishes in 60 minutes that effectively utilize movie snack bars as a theme ingredient in the ingenuity challenge at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles.

What am I recommending for this Sunday night? The Walking Dead, of corpse! (sorry, for the bad pun) Last week, the gang discovered a walker in the well (sounds like a Bones episode title). I’m not really sure why they even tried to remove the body from the well—would you really want to drink that water after a zombie had been steeping in it for weeks?! Their effort nearly killed Glenn, but did give us a wonderfully gory scene of the bloated walker getting torn in half. Also, Lori discovered she is pregnant—hopefully, they can find a zombie Jerry Springer to announce who the daddy is—and Glenn’s day really turned around when he and Maggie got it on at the drug store. Will they ever find any evidence, living or undead, of Sophia? Will the survivors overstay their welcome with Hershel? Will we get a higher body count this week (only one zombie and no humans last week!)?

In tonight’s episode, “Chupacabra,” while searching the woods for clues, Daryl is seriously injured and set upon by walkers. Meanwhile, Rick second-guesses himself, and Glenn believes he’s getting positive signals from Maggie, but then isn’t so sure.

Last week on Pan Am, Kate’s relationship with Niko was tested when the government came in and ransacked Kate’s apartment and took Niko into their possession. The government whisked him away in order to turn him to work for the US government. Sparks flew between Laura and a sailor named Joe (guest star Gaius Charles) on a very ruckus-filled flight flying servicemen home. This lead Laura to question what she was really looking for in a man and what she’s willing to stand up for. Tonight’s dramatic episode will have the crew dealing with some harsh conditions. Watch this suspenseful episode unfold and tweet along with show star @karinevanasse, who will be live tweeting during the East Coast airing.

On tonight’s intense episode, the crew flies to Caracas with a dashing and wealthy passenger named Miguel (guest star Aaron Diaz) on board. Miguel charms the stewardesses with invitations to his yacht, and his beguiling wiles work well with Maggie. Meanwhile, another passenger, Henry Belson, suffers a heart attack, and there is no doctor on board to help. The only hope the Majestic and its crew have of saving his life is to land in Haiti and seek medical aid. However, Haiti is a major hotbed of political unrest. Haiti is also reeling from tropical storms, which have downed trees and affected power, including the lights on the damaged runway, which further complicates matters for the Majestic. Colette and Ted team up in order to make a dangerous trek for medical assistance.

Every year, Iron Chef America does a special holiday battle, pitting teams of Iron Chefs against one another. I am so excited for tonight’s episode, because not only is it that battle, which I love, but my two favorite chefs are paired up together! Tonight, on the Thanksgiving special, the typical competition guidelines are set aside for a monumental culinary confrontation between two teams of Iron Chefs: Bobby Flay and Michael Symon versus newest Iron Chefs, Jose Garces and Marc Forgione. I honestly think Flay & Symon will kill it tonight. You?
