If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/15/11

It’s the middle of November, which means that Christmas is just around the corner—scary, I know. I actually have friends who have completed their shopping, where I haven’t even started yet … and won’t until the beginning of December. 🙂 To get your mind of the impending holiday rush that is about to begin, kick back and watch some great television tonight.

It wouldn’t be Tuesday without the sweet harmonies of New Directions on Glee coming throught my television. Not to mention the weekly drama! Last week, we saw some of our favorite characters reach milestones in their love lives. Rachel/Finn, as well as Kurt/Blaine, lost their virginity. Coach Beiste laid her heart on the line, and it turned out well. That was a really sweet storyline, and it was handled well. Overall, the episode was full of character growth, and my heart was happy with most of the storylines.

On tonight’s all new episode, “Mash Off,” Sue starts a smear campaign to take down her biggest foe for the congressional seat. Meanwhile, Puck has a crush, and Will and Shelby Corcoran encourage some friendly competition.

To see where this friendly competition takes the kids, tune in to FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Glee @ Clicker.

Last week’s NCIS was kind of heartbreaking. A plane carrying the bodies of dead Marines from overseas went down, with only one survivor from the crew aboard. The father of one of the Marines showed up at the NCIS building, saying he knew that his daughter had been on that plane, and he was begging them to release her body so he would get some closure. Of course, after running all the DNA and other tests they could run, it was determined that no, she hadn’t been on the plane. So the team worked frantically to figure out what had happened, learning at the end of the episode that the Marine had escaped the bombing that had killed her fellow officers and escaped with two children from the school they’d been working on, trying to save their lives. The satellite/thermal images showed them getting captured. There was no question about what Gibbs and team would do next…

On tonight’s conclusion, “Engaged (Part II),” as the NCIS team continues its search for a missing Marine, Gibbs and Ziva travel to her last known whereabouts in Afghanistan.

Do not miss it tonight on CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of NCIS @ Clicker.

Last week on Ringer, Andrew and Bridget were told some highly upsetting news that also affected Henry. Juliet continued her unlikely bond and friendship with her English teacher, Mr. Carpenter (guest star Jason Dohring). Malcolm showed up in New York, where Agent Machado confronted him. Also, Siobhan’s relationship with Tyler (guest star Justin Bruening) was put in jeopardy. Twists and turns abound a plenty in this ever turning tale of twin sisters. What is Siobhan hiding about her mysterious life, and what will Bridget uncover next about her sly sibling?

Tonight, Bridget begins to realize that she is starting to develop real feelings for Andrew, while Henry and Andrew’s business partner (guest star Jamie Murray) bond over a common interest. Malcolm becomes suspicious of Bridget’s new NA sponsor Charlie (guest star Billy Miller) and Bridget makes an appointment with Siobhan’s therapist (guest star Merle Dandridge), hoping that it will help her discover some more insight into her sister’s life.

Whoa—what a great episode of Sons of Anarchy last week! First, we discovered that Clay didn’t call off the hit on Tara, until he found out that Jax was with her. But the hit men had other plans and still tried to abduct Tara. However, she managed to escape, but in the process, her hand was crushed in the door of the van. Meanwhile, Clay and Gemma had a throwdown, with Clay literally throwing her across the room, putting her in her place. Afterwards, Gemma went to Unser and told him the son will kill the father.

I really hope that they have the guts to go through with that statement and we see Jax kill Clay by the end of the season. It is a long time coming, and Clay really needs to pay for his sins! Also, it looks like Tara’s promising future as a surgeon, and only way out of Charming, may now be over. Will they be able to fix her hand? Will Jax still be able to leave the club, and Charming, as he planned?

In tonight’s episode, “Call of Duty,” SAMCRO is in jeopardy of being muscled out of their own business when a formidable adversary arrives and quickly manages to pose a threat to their already fragile business relations with the Cartel.

I have always enjoyed the original NCIS, but NCIS: LA has become my favorite. The mystery and intrigue behind the undercover work are exciting, and they do a fabulous job showing us week after week. I love the cast, especially LL Cool J as Sam, who seems to have gotten himself into some trouble this week. Last week, in the middle of a crime scene, Sam, Callen, Kensi, and Deeks ran into a friend of Sam’s, who was undercover with him in the Sudan. At the end, the poor guy was hit with a brick of uranium powder, which the team had been trying to find after it was smuggled into the US. He ran off before Sam could get him help. Later, Sam was told the guy had been scrubbed and decontaminated as much as possible, but he only had a short time before he died, and he had chosen to go back to the Sudan to try and finish the mission he’d been on. Sam decided right away that he was going to go back in, as well…which leads us to tonight’s new episode.

On tonight’s episode, “Betrayal,” Sam disappears in the Sudan during an undercover mission with the CIA.

Wondering if Sam makes it? Find out when you tune in to CBS at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of NCIS: LA @ Clicker.

On last week’s episode of Covert Affairs, we got to see Arthur out of the office and learn some more about his past as a CIA handler. It was actually pretty neat. I like seeing the history of characters on shows I love like this. My favorite part, though, had to be the end, when he came home and surprised Joan by actually being home for their anniversary—including having a gift for her. It was a sweet, touching moment. Auggie had some great stuff, too, when he went to celebrate his friend’s birthday—one of the guys on his team that died on the mission where Auggie was blinded. While there at the bar the gathering was being held at, he met the guy’s sister, and they hit it off, ending back at Auggie’s apartment. She is supposed to be leaving for a stint in the Peace Corp in two weeks, though, so I’m not sure where this relationship is going to go. She is back on tonight’s episode, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens… (Plus, I think we get to see Auggie/Chris Gorham shirtless. Can’t beat that! lol

On tonight’s episode, “A Girl Like You,” after discovering that Mossad agent Eyal Lavin (guest star Oded Fehr) is in Washington D.C., posing as a CIA operative, Annie is assigned to track Eyal and discover what he’s doing in the United States. Devin Kelley (The Chicago Code) and Noam Jenkins (Rookie Blue) also guest star.

Check it out tonight on USA Network at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Covert Affairs @ Clicker.

Last week, it was all about poop on Raising Hope. Maw Maw’s poop, to be exact. She swallowed a gold tooth, and Burt decided that it would be a good idea to not waste [snickering note from Jenny… waste…] the money that the gold tooth represented. Jimmy had a little competition for Sabrina’s attention when a teenage boy started working at the store. He didn’t appreciate Sabrina’s affection being diverted, so he decided it was time to tell her how he felt. When he delivered the note in her locker, he quickly ran bac,k only to rip a small portion off. Later, when Sabrina read the note, she thought it was from the teenage boy, due to the illegible handwriting and misspelled words. Jimmy lucked out, but he’s sure to work up the courage to someday tell Sabrina how he feels.

Tonight, Burt and Virginia borrow a house in order to try and impress Burt’s visiting parents. Unfortunately, things go awry when the real homeowners actually return early! Lee Majors (The Fall Guy) & Shirley Jones (The Partridge Family) guest star.
