If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/21/11

It’s a short week for those of us in the US. The kids most likely all have 2-day school weeks, worker bees get at least Thursday & Friday off…Happy Thanksgiving! lol If you don’t live here or celebrate Thanksgiving, well…lament the lack of new TV later this week along with us, but for now, enjoy what the television has to offer tonight, because there’s lots of it!

I have seen tonight’s Castle, and I can tell you this much: You don’t want to miss it. Beckett faces off with her worst fear—a sniper—and has to deal with the post-traumatic stress that she has been denying she has been suffering from since her shooting. I don’t want to give too much away, but if you are a fan, this is one you will really enjoy. Stana Katic and Jon Huertas (Espisito) absolutely knock it out of the park. As Beckett is trying her best to pretend like she’s okay, Espisito is the only one able to get through to her. It’s a gripping performance from them both. There’s only a few good moments for Caskett fans, but tonight’s episode sets up the real possibility of a future relationship between the two. All in all, it’s one of my favorite episodes of the series.

On tonight’s episode, “Kill Shot,” New York City is under fire by a sniper with no clear reason for killing, other than to instill fright; with time running out, the team struggles to locate the sniper, and it becomes difficult, as Beckett suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Don’t miss an exciting, important new episode tonight on ABC at 10/9c. (Be sure and check your local listings, because football is preempting my ABC shows. Castle is airing on The CW, instead!) Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

Every Monday, I suggest you watch Hawaii Five-0, and it’s not only because Alex O’Loughlin is one of my favorite people. 🙂 In fact, this season has been full of strong story arcs and great character evolution. I love how much they are using Masi Oka’s character Max in each episode and how his quirkiness is adding to the core of the show. Last week’s episode was actually quite amusing, while Steve and Danny were trying to figure out why Max was mad at them. Turns out that neither of them responded to his emails because they didn’t recognize the email address and thought they were spam… we’ve all done that!

On this week’s episode, “Ki’ilua (Deceiver),” McGarrett finds himself in need of the Five-0’s help when he goes to North Korea with Jenna Kaye to deliver a ransom to rebels who are holding her fiance hostage. Meanwhile, Five-0 investigates the murder of an investigative reporter who seems to have ties to Jenna. (Remember, we learned Jenna is working with Wo Fat!)

To see how Steve gets himself out of this mess, tune in to CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hawaii Five-0 @ Clicker.

Was anyone else really disappointed last week on How I Met Your Mother when Robin stuck with Kevin after he told her he loved her, rather than going where we know her heart lies—with Barney? I was. I like Kevin, but the looks Robin & Barney were sharing were so damn sad. They complement one another so well, and I want to see them tet back together. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the show is heading that way anytime soon: Not only is Robin still with Kevin, there will be a new, serious (even more so than Nora was) girl in Barney’s life soon. I guess we’ll see how much I like her!

On tonight’s episode, “The Rebound Girl, Ted and Barney discuss making a life-changing decision together, and Robin tries to discourage Marshall and Lily from moving to Long Island. Wayne Brady guest stars as Barney’s half-brother.

Check it out tonight on CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of How I Met Your Mother @ Clicker.

Tonight’s an all new Terra Nova—now with more dino-chomping action. The one weak part of this show is the Shannon kids, and last week, they were in full force. Josh stole his mom’s badge and broke into her lab to get drugs to trade for his girlfriend’s passage to Terra Nova. I’m sorry, but I don’t think any other teenager on TV is as stupid as Josh—except maybe Axl on The Middle, but at least his character is supposed to be funny. With Josh, it’s just ridiculous! Meanwhile, Maddy suspected that her hero scientist wasn’t who he says he was, and Zoe (possibly the most annoying of the 3 kids) thought he was a vampire.

Despite all this stuff with the kids, we did see some interesting developments in the main mythology. Commander Taylor and Jim were shocked to discover that the Sixers have the ability to communicate with 2149 and are most likely transporting the drugs Josh stole to the future, where they are worth a lot of money. Taylor suspects that his genius son Lucas must somehow be involved. Also, the hunt for the mole in Terra Nova is still underway, and Taylor decides to try to convince exiled soldier Curran to infiltrate the Sixers’ camp to find out who it is. There are only 3 weeks left, and still a lot to be answered!

On tonight’s episode, “Vs.,” Jim uncovers an old murder, for which Taylor is the prime suspect, and Taylor searches for a Sixer infiltrator.

What do you get when you combine two waitresses, a horse, cupcakes, and a murphy’s bed? Why, 2 Broke Girls, of course! 🙂 Honestly, this show is a must see for everyone. Last week’s episode had Max and Caroline baking cupcakes for an art show featuring Johnny, whose his hot girlfriend was there. It was awkward for Max, because Johnny had dropped by her apartment earlier and kissed her. They can’t seem to stay apart, and I think everyone knows what that’s like, at one time or another. My favorite line from the whole show had to be when Max told Caroline she kissed Johnny in the apartment, Caroline said to Max, “What, did your vagina send out a bat signal the minute I left?” LOVE it!

On tonight’s holiday themed episode, “And the Very Christmas Thanksgiving,” Caroline and Max spend Caroline’s first broke holiday season working at a department store’s Santaland to earn extra money.

To see these girls be adorable elves—or Mrs. Clause, according to the picture!—tune in to CBS at 8:30/7:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of 2 Broke Girls @ Clicker.

I am really enjoying Mike & Molly. Having Mike living with Molly & her family is making for some interesting storylines, and last week, I was excited, because we got a lot of Peggy, Mike’s mom, who is always highly entertaining. We are also dealing with a possible new love interest for Carl, who has been single for too long. She’s back on tonight’s episode, so I’m excited to see how long she’ll stick around. Carl needs to grow up some, and hopefully this is the first step—even if this relationship isn’t “the one.”

On tonight’s episode, “Mike Cheats,” Mike starts cheating on his diet as Thanksgiving Day approaches, but attempts to hide it from Molly. Holly Robinson Peete returns. Also guest starring are David Higgins, Brendan Patrick Connor, Kevin Brief.

I have a third choice this Monday, because let’s face it—I’m a TV whore. It’s a true story. I can’t help myself. TV just calls to me—and yes, I’m aware how strange and sad that sounded. Anyway, my third suggestion for tonight is Hart of Dixie. At first, I was hesitant to fall in love with another CW show, with fear of cancellation always looming around the corner, but I simply couldn’t not fall for this show. It’s witty, heartwarming, and down right charming. Rachel Bilson is fantastic as Zoe, the New York surgeon turned country family doctor. Last week’s episode broke my heart, because Zoe and George had a day that was pretty much a date, and then the realization that they had feelings for each other came to the surface. George got shot in the leg by a crossbow while trying to talk down a crazy redneck, and Zoe saved him. We see Zoe leaving in tears, because she’s realized that she’s found the perfect man for her, but he’s engaged to someone else. That sucks.

On tonight’s episode, “Homecoming and Coming Home,” after noticing Zoe is homesick, Lavon suggest she hosts his annual pre-game homecoming party to help her get connected to Bluebell. Zoe decides to get help from her friend Gigi (guest star Megan Stevenson) from New York, but this causes issues when New York style doesn’t match Bluebell style. We also see George and Wade scheme to get their revenge on their high school nemesis, Jimmy (guest star Sean Carrigan), but when Lemon learns of their plan, she wants in on the plan as well.

To see a New York and Bluebell party mash-up, tune in to The CW network at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hart of Dixie @ Clicker.

Last week’s Mike & Molly was prob their best ep ever–Peggy is hilarious! I wonder if they’re going to give her a larger role now that she works (sorts) with Molly.
