If We Controlled Your Remote… 12/22/11

Do you hear those bells jingling? They’re getting closer! Only 3 sleeps until Christmas Day, and I admit to not having anything wrapped yet. Good thing I don’t have to wrap the shows that are on tonight, or else you’d be waiting until Christmas morning to watch them. 🙂 Let’s take a look at those shows now.

Megan’s Choice #1

Week after week, they have battled it out on the stage, until there were 3 left standing. Tonight on The X Factor, we find out who will go home with the $5 million dollar contract and a Pepsi commercial. Last night, they all gave it their best, and to be honest, I’m okay with any of them winning – although I really did love Chris last night, because he has the most heart by far.

To see who takes it all, tune in to FOX at 8/7c for the two-hour finale. Learn where to find episodes online of The X Factor @ Clicker.

Kyle’s Choice

Tonight is the two-part season finale of The League. Last week, Ruxin got in trouble for using his work email for graphic league trash talk. Meanwhile, Kevin’s personal life intersected with his work life when a man he put in jail years earlier ended up being his daughter’s friend’s father. Throughout the episode, auto-correct mishaps led to all kinds of hilarious misunderstandings.

This show is always so much fun. All the guys work so well together and feel like real life-long friends. Jenny is a perfect balance for the group, and it’s always great to see how she manipulates the guys to get advantages for her team. Tonight, we finally find out who will win the coveted Shiva this year and who will walk home with the Sacko.

In tonight’s first episode, “St. Pete,” Kevin and Jenny bet boldly on the playoffs, Taco wants Ruxin to get more involved with Taco Corp., and Pete has a devilish plan to send Ruxin to the Sacko Bowl. And afterwards, in “The Funeral,” the race is on for the Shiva and the Sacko Bowls in the Season 3 finale. Taco teams up with Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte, but one of the guys can’t manage his team, leaving the League to figure out who’ll run it for him.

Megan’s Choice #2

I love how Jane is such a badass on Prime Suspect. Without fail, she kicks butt and takes name, all the while showing up the male detectives around her. That’s not what she cares about, though. Her heart is with the victims, and everything she does is for them. Last week, she was a bit thrown off by her boyfriend’s declaration he was going to get full custody. Something tells me Jane isn’t up for having kids around 24/7.

On tonight’s episode, “The Great Wall of Silence,” Jane and Evrard investigate a murder in Chinatown that occurred during a game of mah-jongg. In other events, Reg shares a secret about Jane with Matt.

To see what Reg is running his mouth about, tune in to NBC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Prime Suspect @ Clicker.

  1. Kyle says:

For XFactor, I thought Chris sounded terrible in his duet–don’t know if he was nervous or what, but I do like that he brought back his Homey What You Trippin’ On song. While I’d be fine with any of them winning, would most like to see Melanie win, based on voice.

  2. Megan says:

I think Chris did great with Avril.
