If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/2/12

It’s very exciting that tonight, a few of our favorites are returning after their winter hiatuses. I don’t know about you, but I’ve missed curling up with my cup of tea and watching my favorite shows. What show’s return have you been waiting for? Did we remember it? Don’t forget to sound off below, after you check out what we are suggesting for tonight.

After the bustle of the holidays, there is something magical about watching a show that makes you laugh from beginning to end. 2 Broke Girls does that for me weekly, and I’ve missed it over the holiday break. I love Max (Kat Dennings) and her sarcasm. It’s quick, witty, and at times, deliciously inappropriate. Caroline (Beth Behrs) is fitting into the poor girl lifestyle nicely, although her face in the moments where she hits a new low is priceless. When we left our favorite waitresses, Max’s stove broke and Caroline ended up selling her jewelery to get Max the stove of her dreams. In the process, Caroline learned a hard lesson about the value of her surname.

On tonight’s mid-season premiere, “And the Secret Ingredient,” Caroline stumbles upon the secret ingredient to Max’s cupcakes in the midst of her new found obsession with couponing.

To see extreme couponing done Caroline style, tune in to CBS at 8:30/7:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of 2 Broke Girls @ Clicker.

I’m so glad Mike & Molly is back tonight! The last new episode was all about Christmas. Molly found out she hadn’t gotten the Vice Principal’s job, and that sent her into a tailspin. She went into a funk at home, staying in pajamas and sleeping, not showering or even acting like she gave a damn about anything. But then a former student to her house to tell her thank you, because she was the only one who had ever supported his artwork—when he was in grade school and drawing during class—and now he was going to art school. It hit Molly hard, making her realize that even if she didn’t realize it now, she did make a difference in the lives of her students, and that was what was important to her. Suddenly, not getting the new job was a good thing. As always, the rest of the cast was fantastic. I love this show, and it always makes me laugh.

On tonight’s episode, “Carl Has Issues,” Carl is confronted with his fear of commitment and panics when he and Christina attempt to take their relationship to the next level.

It’s been about a month since we’ve had a new episode of How I Met Your Mother. The last episode started with Robin talking to her children about their father, Barney. I was so excited by this and couldn’t wait to see the rest of the episode. However, all of this was undone, and this notion was burned and salted over by the end of the episode, when Robin found out she couldn’t have children. I’m not sure where the show goes from here—will this still be weighing on Robin’s mind, or will she already be over this by the next episode? Will Kevin find out about Robin’s affair with Barney? Let’s get past some of this drama and get back to the comedy. It is a sitcom, after all. 🙂 I’m looking forward to the McClarens gang’s next crazy antics/bets.

In tonight’s episode, “Tailgate,” Marshall visits his father’s grave to carry on their tailgating tradition. Meanwhile, Barney and Ted open a bar, and Robin fills in for an inebriated news anchor.

Rosewood is about to be turned upside down! The midseason premiere of Pretty Little Liars is finally upon us, and the ladies are ready for some vengeance. When we last left the Liars, they were arrested after being found in possession of Alison’s murder weapon. With the promise of a big reveal at the end of this season and another season already announced to air, there is no stopping A and the mission he/she is on. Then again, with the ladies looking to not back down this season, you never know who is playing whom!

Tonight, on “Through Many Dangers, Toils, and Snares,” the relationship between Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hanna changes following their arrest.

Tune in for the start of all new episodes tonight at 8/7c on ABC Family! Learn where to find episodes online of Pretty Little Liars @ Clicker.

I have missed my favorite TV boyfriend over the holidays… Come to think of it, I didn’t even get a Christmas card. 🙂 All is well tonight, though, because Alex O’Loughlin as Steve McGarrett is making his sexy way back onto my screen with his kick ass, take no prisoners crime fighting ways. When we last saw Five-0, they were solving the murder of a Jane Doe, which led them to solve an unsolved case from the past, where a tourist had been killed. Chin Ho and Malia got married in a beautiful ceremony, and McGarret was trying to piece together more about what Joe has been up to.

On tonight’s episode, “Ka Ho’oponopono (The Fix),” Five-0 investigates when a teen girl is murdered by a professional hit man. Steve and his team must first determine why she was a target before they can locate her killer.

To see my boyfriend and his team solve yet another case (and look stellar while doing it), tune in to CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hawaii Five-0 @ Clicker.
