If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/13/12

TGIF! I don’t know about you, but I’m so ready to settle down in front of the TV and catch the great episodes on tonight. I didn’t write it up, but if you’re a fan, don’t miss the 2-hour series finale of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition tonight on ABC at 8/7c. The team visits Joplin, Missouri, to help build homes for seven families affected by the horrific tornado. Now, see what else we think you should watch!

Last week’s Chuck was so funny. Casey had some major issues feeling…less than masculine with Gertrude. By the end of the episode, Casey had stood up to her and things looked like they might get better for Casey. Then we had Chuck himself, who was totally clueless about Sarah and the possibility that she might be pregnant. Of course, she isn’t, but I think that will probably change before the series ends. Meanwhile, Jeff and Lester found Castle (the spy office, not the TV show!), so where they will go from here, I don’t know, but I can’t wait to see it tonight!

On tonight’s episode, “Chuck versus Bo,” as Chuck and Sarah try to realize a new, safer future, Morgan’s past as the Intersect sends them to Vail on one last mission, where they enlist the help of an unlikely source – the legendary Bo Derek (as herself). Elsewhere, Jeff and Lester continue their own spy mission. Angus MacFadyen (Braveheart) also guest stars.

It may be called Grimm, but it definitely helps brighten up my Fridays. Every week, I’m like a kid on Christmas morning, because I know that Friday night, I’m going to get another delicious escape from reality. I will never tire of how they take our favorite Grimm fairytales and rough them up – totally jack them up. The cast is fabulous, the writing is excellent, and overall, it’s one reason I get to say TGIF!

On tonight’s episode, “Game Ogre,” a prison escapee seeks revenge against those who put him behind bars, and his strength and high tolerance for pain makes Nick suspect the fugitive is a monster.

Last week on Nikita, we learned that no matter how much Alex wished her mother had been duped, she was wrong; her mother and Semak had been having an affair for years, and she had helped get Alex’s father killed. The flashback with Michael & Nikita we got to see was great, and I loved the time Michael and Owen spent on screen together. Hopefully, Michael will take Owen’s words to heart and will give Nikita more time with him that he’d been spending in London. Meanwhile, watching Percy and Amanda together is always fun… You never know who is going to ultimately come out on top—or who you want to. And once again, we got Nikita and Alex working on the same side together. I like that much more than having them work against one another. There are enough bad guys out there. Let them all work together now to continue to bring down the biggest and the baddest—whether it be Oversight, Division (along with Percy & Amanda), and even Semak. I’m even more excited this week because of the Sean storyline (I love him but think he is WAY misguided in siding with his mother) and because Birkhoff is back!

On tonight’s episode, “Sanctuary,” Sean attacks Nikita and Michael in an effort to protect his mother. Meanwhile, Percy gets the upper hand on Amanda and threatens to level Division unless she releases him.

After two months, Fringe is finally back! Peter returned, but no one knew who he was, and Walter didn’t want anything to do with his son. Meanwhile, Walternate appears to have unleashed a new race of shape-shifters on the other universe. So Peter assists in trying to find a solution, while also seeking a way to return to his own universe.

So far, this season has been great – a good mix of case-of-the-week and mythology. It’s great when the two universes are forced to interact. There’s always suspicion and doubt on both sides, but each knows they must to rely on the other. I already watched a screener of tonight’s episode and thoroughly enjoyed it!

In tonight’s episode, “Back to Where You’ve Never Been,” Peter takes a dangerous journey to the alternate universe to confront Walternate, while Olivia hears an ominous prediction from an Observer.

Last week’s Blue Bloods had a lot of emotional moments. I was really feeling bad for the wife of that dead informant, until we found out she was involved. Shame. I love the way this family is always defending each other. They make you want to be a part of their universe.

On tonight’s episode, “The Uniform,” Danny and Jackie investigate a murder at a diner, and the chief suspect is a fellow officer who was seen fleeing from the crime scene shortly after shots were fired.

To discover if the officer did it, tune in to CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Blue Bloods @ Clicker.

Last week’s episode of CSI: NY was so sad. The team worked to figure out the murderer of a body that was found charred—completely burned to a crisp—and it turned out to be a set up. Ryan Richards, the man whose driver’s license was found with the body turned out to be the guy who burned the body—who turned out to be a homeless man who had died not at the hands of Richards. Richards had found the homeless man, who he was friendly with, injured and bleeding, and on the way to the hospital, the man died. So the real Ryan Richards burned the body, leaving his driver’s license and some of his blood to make it seem like the body was his. He was being stalked and wanted to keep his family safe by faking his death. It really was kind of a heartbreaking episode.

On tonight’s episode, “Who’s There?” a home invasion investigation becomes more complicated when the victim’s family turns out to be less perfect than they originally seem.

There are so many reasons to tune in to Supernatural tonight. You could tune in for the sexy Winchester Brothers – because they don’t come much hotter. The killer writing, because it grasps us every episode from the beginning to the end. You could also tune in for the show’s general ability to pull on your heart strings and pull you along on the journey that is this show. Tonight, you should tune in because Jason Dohring fromVeronica Mars is guest starring. I didn’t think that this show could get much hotter, but then you add in Dohring, and I’m overjoyed.

On tonight’s episode, “Time After Time,” the God of Time sends Dean back to 1944, where he is arrested by legendary lawman, Eliot Ness. Nicholas Lea also guest stars.

To see Jason Dohring be beautiful, tune in to The CW at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Supernatural @ Clicker.
