TV News – The X Factor Shake Up

My head is still reeling from the bloodbath that took place over at The X Factor yesterday. Each time I would sit down to write a news post about the changes, another one would be added, so for sake of my sanity, I decided to wait until today to report.

I’m sure you’ve all heard by now from one source or another that Steve Jones, Nicole Scherzinger, and Paula Abdul are all leaving The X Factor.

Jump with me to read more of my thoughts on this.

I have thought from the very beginning that Steve Jones needed to be replaced because of his inability to move things along and to handle the tough moments. In my opinion, we need a female host – someone like Cat Deely. (Only… not her, because she’s busy on So You Think You Can Dance?. 🙂 )

As for Nicole Scherzinger, I did a happy dance when this news came out. She is not judge material. When faced with the hard decisions (ie. Rachel Crow), she broke down bawling on national television, instead of growing up and making a choice like an adult. If you’re going to break someone’s heart, do the dirty work yourself. Don’t have others do it for you.

Now…on to Paula–That is one that I was surprised by. I didn’t mind her on The X Factor. In fact, I honestly believed she had redeemed herself. I found her work with the groups admirable and her talent with choreography was an asset. I’ll miss her.

So who will replace Steve as host? What about Paula and Nicole? I’m not sure, but for a judge, I would love for them to bring back Cheryl Cole. Who do you want to see? Sound off below.

I didn’t think Steve was a bad host–did well in the beginning. Though he didn’t really seem to have control or a sense of authority in the live shows. As long as they get a host with some sort of Australian or British accent, I’ll be happy–always makes them sound more intelligent and proper. 🙂

Glad Nicole’s gone, Paula I didn’t care about one way or the other.

*laugh* @ Kyle & the accent thing. haha

I, too, am glad Nicole is gone. I liked Paula better in The X Factor than I did on Idol, but…eh, whatever. I’m pretty much all so over Simon Cowell. lol I wish they could replace him, too, but… guess not. haha
