If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/1/12

Happy February! Yesterday was a pretty slow night of TV for me. Tonight isn’t hugely full (I really miss all my dramas!), but there are still some great shows on. What do we think you should watch? Check out our picks below, and then let us know what you are planning to watch. 🙂

The new episodes of Royal Pains the last couple of weeks have been great. Hank and Divya took a while to get back to normal, and while things may not be perfect yet, they are better than they were after she first told him about being the one to screw up with their patient. And how freakin adorable are Paige and Evan?! I really love them together, and last week, when Evan was freaking out because he had hives, was hysterical. I’m so not digging Jill at the moment, though. If she’s going to go, then just go, dammit. but if she’s not really going, show more angst between her & Hank about her leaving, so when she DOESN’T leave, it’s a bigger payoff. And finally…how heartbreaking is the storyline with Ed—I mean, Jack (played by the adorable, fun, talented Tom Cavanagh, who is one of my biggest TV crushes)?

On tonight’s episode, “My Back to the Future,” when a back problem limits Hank’s ability to treat patients, Evan hires Dr. Van Dyke as a temporary replacement.

Don’t miss it tonight on USA Network at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Royal Pains @ Clicker.

The drama on One Tree Hill this season is insane. Last week’s episode not only made me angry, but broke my heart as a parent. Julian forgetting his son in the car? Seriously, how do people do that? As a viewer, though, I am super excited to see where this journey takes us. How will Brooke respond to this mess, and can she ever forgive Julian? So many questions, so many reasons to watch. 🙂

On tonight’s episode,”Don’t You Want to Share the Guilt?” as Julian deals with his guilt, Brooke helps Haley confront a new rival café, and its difficult owner. Meanwhile, Chase’s new girl has a complicated secret, and Quinn takes extreme measures that help Clay realize he’s worse off than he thought. Chelsea Kane guest stars.

To see what happens with Julian and Brooke’s baby, tune in to the CW at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of One Tree Hill @ Clicker.

I continue to enjoy Top Chef each week. This season, they are doing something different, where the eliminated chefs compete in an online cook-off called Last Chance Kitchen. Each week, the newly-eliminated chef goes head-to-head with the current reigning champ of LCK. At some point, unbeknownst to the the other contestants, the winner of Last Chance Kitchen will return to the competition. We’re running out of weeks, so this has got to happen pretty soon! In the meantime, we continue with the tried and true formula each week.

Tonight, the remaining chefs head to the Alamo. And I don’t know about you, but the first thing I think of when someone says “The Alamo” is Pee-wee Herman! 🙂 Apparently, the producers of the show must think the same way, because in tonight’s episode, “Bike, Borrow & Steal,” the chefs are charged with creating imaginative pancakes for Pee-wee Herman. Later, they hit the streets of San Antonio with a bike to gather ingredients for Pee-wee’s big dinner party.

See it tonight on Bravo at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Top Chef @ Clicker.

I’m so glad I watch and love TV Land’s comedies, especially when my ABC comedic faves aren’t on. It is extremely nice to have shows like this that keep me entertained. Last week on Hot in Cleveland, the ladies had to deal with Joy dating a much younger, blind guy while pretending to be quite a few years younger herself, as well as Victoria’s daughter Emmy (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Melanie’s son (played by musician Joe Jonas) showing up together and announcing their engagement. Each “child” is much like their mother, and Emmy was…incredibly selfish and bossy…while Will was rather passive and kind of just let her walk all over him. The ladies were able to make them see that they hadn’t known each other long or well enough to get married, and the pair broke up, leaving Emmy to meet Joy’s “boyfriend” after he had surgery to get his sight back, where she pretended to be Joy. It was a lot of fun. 😀 And then on The Exes, poor Holly met one of Phil’s clients and basically sexed him into the hospital. Her reaction to finding out some other woman was in the “girlfriend” seat was great. Tonight is the season finale of that show, so I’m kind of sad, cause I really have been enjoying it!

On tonight’s new episode of Hot in Cleveland, “Life with Lucci,” now that All My Children has been canceled, Susan Lucci (playing herself) returns to Cleveland, looking for guidance from her arch nemesis, Victoria. Susan wins over the rest of the ladies by offering diet tips to Melanie, setting up Joy with a “doctor” (Ryan McPartlin, Chuck), and convincing Baron Davis (playing himself) to meet with Elka for some basketball advice. Once Susan makes the ladies’ wishes come true, they realize they may have been better off listening to Victoria’s warnings that they’ll all get “Lucci-ed.”

Then on The Exes, “The Ex Always Rings Twice,” Holly has to face her cheating ex-fiancé for the first time since they broke up, so she enlists the guys to help and gets more than she bargained for in proving to her ex that he made a mistake. This is a season finale that you do not want to miss. Ken Marino (Party Down, Veronica Mars), John Ross Bowie (The Big Bang Theory), & Mieko Hillman (Melissa and Joey) guest star.

Don’t miss them tonight on TV Land at 10/9c & 10:30/9:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hot in Cleveland & The Exes @ Clicker.
