If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/2/12

Another week has flown by, and we’re into March already—unbelievable! I can’t believe that in a few short weeks, my baby boy will be one year old. Time has flown by. Before I know it, he’s going to be walking, talking, and running away from me. Before that happens, I’m going to sit down and relax and watch a bit of TV. Join me, won’t you, please?

There are few shows that bring me as much of a visual buffet as Spartacus: Vengeance. What an incredibly gorgeous cast. I cannot tell a lie… This show is a guilty pleasure of mine. It’s true that Liam McIntyre isn’t Andy, but he has been very successful at being Spartacus. One of my favorite parts of the show, besides the delicious cast, is the writing and the love they show for the characters. Ilithya doesn’t have a whole lot of growth, but her devious scheming ways are entertaining to watch. Last week, her scheming put her marriage in jeopardy. Overall, I enjoy the plots, and the cast never fails to make me smile.

On tonight’s episode, “Chosen Path,” Spartacus urges his restless rebels to train for the defense of their new sanctuary. Lucretia and Ilithyia seek comfort from each other, while Glaber’s forces swell with some deadly new recruits.

To see if the rebels can conquer, tune in to Starz at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Spartacus: Vengeance @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Blue Bloods and Grimm.

Last week’s episode of Blue Bloods was intense. It always is on a cop show when one of their own is killed. This time, it was even more personal, since it was a close friend of Danny & his family. In the end, they got the killer before he could take another life, but that doesn’t help Frank, Danny, and the rest of the Reagans to deal with the death of their friend. This week looks like it’ll be another intense episode, as a…friend…of Frank’s is almost assaulted and Jamie’s undercover assignment comes to a head!

On tonight’s episode, “Women with Guns,” when Frank’s close friend, a high-profile reporter, is almost assaulted while in town investigating a story, Danny and Jackie attempt to track down her would-be attacker. Meanwhile, Jamie’s undercover case comes to a head. Margaret Colin (Gossip Girl) guest stars as Melanie Maines, Frank’s close friend, and Tom Wopat (The Dukes of Hazzard) guest stars as Craig Iverson, Melanie’s producer.

Check it out tonight on CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Blue Bloods @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Grimm.

Kyle’s Choice

Last week on Grimm, Monroe was captured while helping Nick gather some information and was forced to compete in a Wesen fight club of sorts. However, just as the thumbs-down kill order was given, Nick volunteered to join the fight in exchange for Monroe’s freedom if they won. Meanwhile, Juliette discovered an engagement ring in Nick’s drawer, but when Nick arrived late for their anniversary dinner, she seemed to ponder their future.

It seems like with each episode, Nick is more easily recognized as a Grimm by the other creatures. I’m not sure if this is because his power is getting stronger or just that the word is getting out about him. Last week, we got to learn a bit more about Captain Renard’s plan and role. I like that they are giving us more of this mythology while exploring the cases of the week.

In tonight’s episode, “Three Coins in a Fuchsbau,” a botched jewelry-store robbery results in murder and raises questions about rare coins, and a friend of Aunt Marie’s visits Nick with information about his family. Titus Welliver guest stars.

Don’t miss it tonight on NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Grimm @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching A Gifted Man, Portlandia, Spartacus: Vengeance, What Would You Do?, and Undercover Boss.
