If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/4/12

It’s Sunday, which means the start of a new week. It’s kind of a slow week, but there are some great episodes on every night…including tonight, so check out what we think you should be watching.

I’m still really enjoying Worst Cooks in America. Bobby Flay is great as a judge/mentor against Anne Burrell. He’s tough, and maybe not as patient as she is, but you know he has all the women swooning. LOL I was so pleased last week when the bottom two on Bobby’s team were Erica and Sarina. I didn’t know which I disliked more. Sarina’s baby voice and absolute cluelessness in the kitchen (not just inept but totally damn clueless) irritate the hell out of me, but Erica… Yeah, I was pleased when she went home. On Anne’s side, I wasn’t quite as happy that Sad Bob went home, but he wasn’t my favorite, so in the end, it could have been worse.

On tonight’s episode, “Late Night/Date Night,” the recruits have to cook up a late night treat and prepare a romantic entree for two.

See who goes home tonight on Food Network at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Worst Cooks in America @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Breakout Kings, Cupcake Wars, Iron Chef America, CSI: Miami, & GCB.

It’s no secret that I love drama. I mean, who among us doesn’t? So when I watched the G.C.B. pilot a few months ago, I could barely contain my excitement. There is drama untold on this show, and I cannot wait to watch this show grow into the phenomenon it deserves to be.

The show is centered around former mean girl, Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb), who moves back to Dallas 18 years after high school and is met with less than open arms. The former unpopular – but now uber queen bitch – Carlene Cockburn (Kristin Chenoweth) goes nuts with memories of how bad high school was and not wanting to share her spotlight with Amanda now. Amanda is living with her hilarious mother, Gigi Stopper (Annie Potts) and has changed her ways since high school, but the girls who she tormented during high school – the GCBs (Good Christian Belles) – don’t believe it and are out to settle the score with Amanda.

We’re going to get to watch whether or not you can go home again – especially after you were a super bitch in high school. My guess is that it’s true – you can never go home again.

On tonight’s series premiere, Amanda Vaughn, once the ultimate high school “mean girl,” has to return home with her tail between her legs after her marriage ends in scandal. Reluctant but desperate, Amanda has nowhere else to go but to her mother, Gigi, for help. The problem is that Amanda is nothing like the girl she was before and is scared about returning to that insanity. All she wants is a fresh start, but she soon realizes that you can’t ever outrun your past – especially in Dallas, Texas. The women from her past are out for payback, and we all know that payback is a bitch.

Tune in to ABC at 10/9c to watch the premiere of this delicious drama. I dare you not to love it. Learn where to find episodes online of G.C.B. @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching The Walking Dead, The Amazing Race, CSI: Miami, The Good Wife, and Once Upon a Time.

Tonight, the second season of Breakout Kings premieres on A&E. I like to think of this show as a grittier Leverage. Both shows follow a group of cons working together to try to take down the bad guys. However, in Breakout Kings, the cons are actually prisoners, and the person the group is trying to take down is usually no white collar criminal, but rather some gruesome murderer. That said, the series does still have its moments of humor.

I’m looking forward to a whole new season of take-downs, and I hope they find a way to work in some more former Prison Break cons this year. I loved last year’s episode that brought T-Bag back to our TV screens!

In tonight’s episode, “An Unjust Death,” the team hunts a merciless serial killer whom Lloyd’s testimony helped convict. Meanwhile, Charlie gets offered a promotion, putting the fate of the program in jeopardy. Jason Behr (Roswell) guest stars.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, Once Upon a Time, Desperate Housewives, G.C.B., The Cleveland Show, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Worst Cooks in America, The Walking Dead, and Life’s Too Short!

When we last left the Mob Wives, Carla told Drita about her encounter, and old wounds were unearthed. They had a devastating effect on Renee, as she and Junior had an intense couples counseling session. This led her to realize the harsh reality of her seemingly fairytale life with Junior that has turned into a nightmare. Karen started doing photoshoots and interviews in order to promote her book, “Mob Daughter,” and was forced to face some hard questions about her life in doing so. Ramona dealt with her boyfriend facing jail time and admitted to her own kids that she was locked up for a short while herself. Also, Drita received a very shocking surprise from Lee.

Tonight, as Halloween fast approaches, things get tricky between Ramona and Drita, who have both planned bashes in order to celebrate the holiday, and they are on the same night! Renee and Junior continue to be haunted by their past during their latest couples counseling session. When Renee and Carla are confronted with the dueling holiday parties, the two once again face an important decision about where their loyalties lie. Big Ang struggles with some monkey business happening at her bar, and while partying as Renee’s partner in crime, Junior gets spooked.

Tune in at 8/7c to VH1 for the spooky shenanigans. Learn where to find episodes online of Mob Wives @ Clicker.

Tonight, I am also watching The Amazing Race and G.C.B.
