If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/7/12

This has been a pretty good week for TV, even though it’s been pretty slow. But there have been some great episodes. And that helps a lot for me, because I caught the cold my husband & son had… Thanks ever so much for that, guys. Still, with the great new episodes on tonight, that’s sure to make me feel better. 😉 Now, let’s see what we think you should be watching tonight! (Sorry this is up late, by the way. Megan & I are both sick, so things just took a bit longer than usual to pull together!)

I’m so happy, because tonight is the return of two great comedies on TV Land. The ladies of Hot in Cleveland have such a great chemistry, and the show is really comedy perfection. Then following that, it’s the season premiere of Happily Divorced, starring Fran Drescher. I have to admit…she’s an acquired taste. I love her acting, but her voice is something you kind of have to just…get past. I love the premise behind this show (a couple, married for almost twenty years, gets divorced because the man realizes he’s gay; due to the economy and their financial issues, they must continue living together.), which is actually based on Fran D’s real life. She & her ex-husband are the creators & Executive Producers of the series.

On tonight’s episode of Hot in Cleveland, “Tangled Web,” the ladies escape to a lake house after Victoria sets loose a poisonous spider belonging to her ex‐husband. Melanie finds out her new love interest is actually Joy’s former fiancé. While at the cottage, the ladies meet a missionary worker who has a crush on soap star Victoria Chase. Steven Weber (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Wings), Christopher Gorham (Covert Affairs, Ugly Betty, Popular) and Curtis Armstrong (American Dad, Moonlighting, Revenge of the Nerds) guest star.

Then on tonight’s episode of Happily Divorced, “The Reunion,” Fran has no interest in facing her old nemesis, Jill, at her college reunion, until she runs into her ex-boyfriend Elliot and he agrees to be her faux fiancé for the night. What could go wrong? After all, they’re just friends. Morgan Fairchild & D.W. Moffett guest star.

Tune in for both on TV Land at 10/9c & 10:30/9:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of Hot in Cleveland & Happily Divorced @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy, Happy Endings, Psych, & Restaurant: Impossible.

You would think considering how long Survivor has been on, it would be stale and boring, but it isn’t. This season, where the girls and guys are against each other, is full of drama, humour, and excellent life lessons. The women are terrible already, with cat fights breaking out and already people being all know-it-all. Last week, in a stupid move, they voted Nina off over Kat. Why didn’t they keep the old experienced woman? I’ll tell you why: pure stupidity – embarrassing.

On tonight’s episode, “Bum-Puzzled,” an unforgiveable betrayal forces on tribe to make a drastic move that has never been done before in Survivor history, and an electrifying Tribal Council leaves several castaways speechless.

To see if the women can act their ages and get along, tune in to CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of American Idol @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching One Tree Hill and American Idol.

Last week, Psych returned for its mid-season premiere, and I had forgotten just how much I missed this show until I tuned in. Psych is always so much fun, and last week’s Indiana Jones-themed episode was no exception. When the writers pay homage to a film or TV series, they just do it so well. That is why I’m really looking forward to tonight’s episode, in which they take on The Shining. I can’t wait to see what comedic twist they add to blood-filled elevators, creepy twins, a psychopath smashing through a door, and so on. I wonder if all work and no play makes Lassie a dull boy?!

In tonight’s episode, “Heeeeere’s Lassie!” Lassiter hires Shawn and Gus to get to the bottom of strange occurrences at his new condo. Sara Rue and Louis Gossett Jr. guest star.

Check it out tonight on USA Network at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Psych @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Survivor, Happy Endings, Whitney, Are You There, Chelsea?, Top Chef, and Face Off.

Last week on Happy Endings, Dave’s mobile restaurant, Steak Me Home Tonight, got its liquor license, and all of a sudden became a trendy joint! His friends started avoiding him, which lead him to think it was due to jealously over his newfound fame. The real reason was that after drinking Dave’s new signature cocktail, they were all having sex dreams about Dave. Alex decided to go on an alcohol-free fast and then went overboard cleansing her body of just about everything.

On tonight’s new episode, “The Kerkovich Way,” Alex and Jane try to convince Dave that he is remembering something that never happened. Penny and Max try to beat an annoyingly super perfect couple at a scavenger hunt.

Come on and get happy at 9:30/8:30c on ABC! Learn where to find episodes online of Happy Endings @ Clicker.

Tonight, I am also watching The Middle, Suburgatory, and Psych!
