If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/18/12

Did everyone have a good St. Patrick’s Day? Mine was ok. We got caught up a lot on TV on Friday & Saturday night, so I’m prepared for all the great new episodes this week. Speaking of new episodes, let’s see what we think you should be watching tonight.

Last week’s episode of Breakout Kings was great for a lot of reasons. The team was just back to work after Charlie’s murder, and each was grieving in their own way. Ray talked with Erica and said that with Charlie gone, he needed her to step up and be a leader (going so far as to give her a gun in the middle of the case when it could be life or death—which it kind of ended up being). When no one would talk to the psychiatrist provided by the Marshalls, Ray tried to get everyone to talk to Lloyd. That didn’t work out so well, either. Eventually, they were all able to at least voice some of what they were feeling, and they all shared a shot (that Erica borrowed from the guy downstairs that we saw in the season premiere). Ray moved out of the halfway house, but at the “office,” he refused to move into Charlie’s office. Julianne took it upon herself to move him in while the team was away for the case, and she and the team let him know he needed to step up and be the leader Charlie knew he could be and that they knew he could be—that he needed to believe in himself as much as everyone else did.

As for the case… It was interesting because one of the two escapees was an undercover Fed, and although Shea thought for sure he had turned dirty. He was wrong…which we learned when Lloyd and Erica visited the guy’s home, only to find his wife and son kidnapped and the guy’s safe word for extraction written on the bathroom door in lipstick as a signal that she was in trouble. I have to say my favorite part of the episode was Lloyd distracting the kidnappers and then he and Erica working together to take them down and rescue the wife & son. My second favorite part was Lloyd getting tazed. Fantastic. I’m looking forward to seeing how the team continues to function with Charlie gone and Ray getting his footing as a Marshall with a badge and being the guy in charge.

On tonight’s episode, “Double Down,” Travis Muncey, actor and stool pigeon, escapes from prison. The Breakout Kings quickly find and snatch him back, only to discover that Travis is the key to capturing an even bigger fish. Things get serious when one of the team is kidnapped, and no holds are barred to make the team whole again.

Check it out tonight on A&E at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Breakout Kings @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’m also going to be watching Cupcake Wars, Worst Cooks in America, Coming Home, CSI: Miami, & the series premiere of Unchained Reaction (hosted by Jamie and Adam from Mythbusters).

Last week’s Desperate Housewives really shook the world up. Why on Earth did it have to be Mike that died? Why not the always annoying Tom? 🙁 Such a sad storyline, and Susan has already been through so much. I’ll admit that I haven’t been watching as religiously as I used to, but when I watched last week’s episode, I was heartbroken. In my heart, I was really pulling for Susan and Mike to be the couple that stayed together throughout the end of the show.

On tonight’s episode, “Women and Death,” on the day of the funeral for a beloved Wisteria Lane resident, each of the ladies thinks back on how this person affected their lives. Meanwhile, believing that the investigation died with Chuck Vance, Bree is stunned when she is called in for questioning about the murder of Gaby’s stepfather, Alejandro.

To help Wisteria Lane say goodbye to Mike Delfino, tune in to ABC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Desperate Housewives @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching Once Upon a Time, The Amazing Race, CSI: Miami, and Harry’s Law.

I can’t wait for tonight’s season finale of The Walking Dead! Last week, Shane took Randall from the barn into the woods and snapped his neck. Then he smashed his own nose and ran back to tell the others Randall got away. So they went to look for Randall, Daryl and Glenn going one direction and Shane and Rick going the other. Daryl quickly realized that Shane’s story didn’t add up and turned to head back. They soon ran into Walker Randall and were surprised to discover that he had no bites or scratches, just the broken neck. Meanwhile, Rick also realized what Shane was up to and managed to stab him before Shane killed him. Carl appeared, holding his gun on Rick and asking him why he killed Shane. As Rick tried to explain, Shane rose from the ground behind him, a walker. Carl shot, taking out Shane. However, unbeknownst to Rick and Carl, a huge hoard of walkers was making their way out of the woods toward them.

It looks like a big stand-off tonight as this hoard of walkers tries to take the farmhouse. Who will survive, and who will be eaten? And what’s up with this no-bite walker disease? Is this somehow related to the time that the guys spent at that abandoned school where they planned to leave Randall? How will the others react to Shane’s death? I can’t wait to see how this all plays out—but it’s going to be a long wait for season 3 afterwards!

In tonight’s finale, “Beside the Dying Fire,” Rick and Carl make it out of the woods but find chaos on the farm, where the group has been split up and people are questioning Rick’s leadership abilities.

Don’t miss it tonight on AMC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Walking Dead @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll be using my Time Turner to also watch Talking Dead, The Amazing Race, The Good Wife, Once Upon a Time, Desperate Housewives, GCB, The Cleveland Show, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Worst Cooks in America, Breakout Kings, and Life’s Too Short.

The ladies of Mob Wives left for some fun and relaxation in the Poconos last week, trying to get away from their daily pressures. But even with exciting and fun activities like horseback riding and fishing, the ladies always seem to get in to trouble. Renee was off of her anxiety medication and was drinking. She got in a fight with Ramona after calling Drita’s loyalty into question, and Carla was forced to defend her friend as best she could. Drita stayed home to try to work on quick temper issues with some anger management therapy.

On an all new episode, with the ladies still in the Poconos, trouble is still knocking on their door. A night out in the Poconos erupts into a Staten Island-type brawl as Renee calls for some back-up. After Renee storms out of the bar and heads back to Staten Island, Carla is left along with “team” Karen and the shenanigans continue full throttle. The Poconos adventure ends with a real bang when the ladies hit up a local pistol range and shoot their troubles away. Back in Staten Island, Drita lands a very sexy modeling gig and decides to recruit Big Ang for a day of spray tanning. Ramona deals with harsh realities of prison visits as Carla’s husband Joe is released and finally becomes a free man.

Watch this killer episode at 8/7c on VH1! Learn where to find episodes online of Mob Wives @ Clicker.

Tonight, I am also watching The Amazing Race, The Apprentice, Worst Cooks in America, and Once Upon a Time.
