Wednesday already? This week is just flying by. Hope you are all enjoying this week in television that has been packed with lots of new episodes of our favorite shows. Last night was jammed pack, so it’s nice that tonight slows down a bit. Tonight, you should just kick back, grab the remote, and watch what we think you should – because we’re usually right!
Last week, 10 became 9 on American Idol when Erika Van Pelt got eliminated. I was really upset because I really enjoyed her. I think the judges should have saved her. Heejun is adorable, but he’s been so inconsistent lately, making it hard for me to continue to support him. It’s been a weird season so far, and I have a feeling that it’s going to be messy in the weeks to come, with America screwing up the votes.
On tonight’s episode, Stevie Nix will mentor the remaining 9 contestants, and we’ll see if America will get the vote right this week. 😉
To see the contestants throw down with the mic, tune in to FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of American Idol @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching Survivor and One Tree Hill.

On last week’s Happy Endings, Dave got bullied at the gym by guest star Bobby Moynihan, and Alex tried to teach him about fighting back. Also, Jane took her job as the president of the homeowner’s association of her condo very seriously. After learning that she may have competition for the seat at re-election time, she decided to be a bit more lax and try to cater to other residents more. This backfired when Jane finally realized what a mess things had become.
Tonight, on “Big White Lies,” Penny’s white lie to an annoying childhood friend quickly spirals out of control with the whole gang being caught up in the lie. Plus, Max and Dave’s landlord wants to evict them, but that’s before he ends up falling hard for Alex.

Last week on Survivor, Karma finally kicked in, and the annoying Colton was forced to leave the game due to acute appendicitis. I found it especially gratifying when they showed clips of him wishing that another contestant would fall into the fire and have to be Med-Evac’d from the island. In true Colton fashion, instead of helping out his alliance, he chose to keep the immunity idol as a souvenir (though part of me doesn’t really blame him). The episode ended with the two tribes merging.
I liked the One World aspect of this season, but it really forced them to do the men vs. women thing—otherwise, it would have been way too confusing for viewers (and players) as to who was on which team. However, this season they don’t seem to know what to do with these castaways. First, they did men versus women but put them on the same island because it would have been too boring to not see the sexes intermingle. However, they quickly realized that it was a blowout and the guys were winning everything. So they mixed up the teams once again, but ended up with completely unbalanced teams, so they merged everyone into one tribe. It should be interesting now that we no longer have Colton controlling things. Individual immunity means everyone is out for themselves, so I look forward to any remaining alliances to start falling apart and people to start turning on one another.
In tonight’s episode, “The Beauty in a Merge,” alliances are thrown into question when one castaway makes a bold move at tribal council.

Psych went under the knife last week when Shawn had to have an emergency appendectomy. He was forced to stay in his hospital bed, but that didn’t mean he was out on the sidelines. The dynamic duo of Shawn and Gus were not apart, as Gus brought Shawn along the ride virtually! Also, the members of Gus’s a capella group investigated the shooting of a youth program founder, played by Cheech Marin.
The psychic is in tonight! On an all new episode, “Autopsy Turvy,” after a mortician brings to light a mistake Woody the coroner made while performing an autopsy, Shawn and Gus try to figure out the body’s real cause of death as well as save Woody from losing his job. Glenne Headley, Jaleel White (Family Matters), Kate Micucci (Raising Hope), Ivana Milicevic (Love Monkey), and French Stewart (3rd Rock From the Sun) guest star. (Some of these may not be for this week, but this is the info USA Network’s website shows, so…)
See if Shawn can spot a labradoodle tonight at 10/9c on USA! Learn where to find episodes online of Psych @ Clicker.
Last week’s Hot in Cleveland was great, as always. It was all funny, watching the women trying to find someone to “bounce” them into the exclusive country club, but there were some highlights. Watch Elka making a fool of herself as she tried to embarrass Ed Asner’s character was incredibly amusing, as was the “man” Melanie was trying to find that turned out to be this bizarre woman…who was the object of a crush by the homeless man turned rich man that Joy had posed as an engaged couple with for INS before. It was fun seeing it all tied together. And then on last week’s Happily Divorced, Fran worried about her father when he seemed to be suddenly displaying symptoms of getting old. It was fun seeing Fran and Peter stealing her father’s motorcycle.
On tonight’s episode of Hot in Cleveland, “Everything Goes Better with Vampires,” in this episode, Joy dates a guy who she thinks is her teen crush, Rick Springfield (played by Rick Springfield himself) and Victoria wants to fire the cleaning-averse housekeeper. Meanwhile, Melanie’s date with a pretentious professor makes her feel insecure, and Elka is fed up with her writing partner, Mamie. Georgia Engel (The Mary Tyler Moore Show), Rick Springfield (General Hospital), Rhea Perlman (Cheers), and Craig Bierko (Cinderella Man) guest star.
Then on tonight’s episode of Happily Divorced, “The Burial Plotz,” after the roof crashes in at Frantastic Flowers, Fran pays for the repairs by selling Peter’s spot in the family burial plot to Marilyn and her mother. The move upsets Peter, forcing Fran to get creative if she wants to rest in peace again. Reneé Taylor & Ann Guilbert (both from The Nanny) guest star.
Tonight, I’m also going to be watching/DVRing Bent, Psych, Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy, Happy Endings, & Restaurant Stakeout.
